Resumo: Through a documentary research, the objective was to verify the appropriation of students' knowledge about Badminton in Physical Education classes.  The study points out that the teacher has a critical pedagogical position, contributed to significant students’ formative process. It is concluded the importance of compulsory training in academic formation, and the relevance of systematization of contents, through the curricular principles of dealing with knowledge and the organization of schooling cycles.

El estudio señala que la posición pedagógica crítica del profesor, contribuyó con la formación significativa de los alumnos. Se concluye la importancia de la asignatura de pasantía  obligatoria en la formación académica, y la relevancia de la sistematización de los contenidos, por medio de los principios curriculares del trato con el conocimiento y la organización de los ciclos de escolarización.Por meio de uma pesquisa documental, objetivou-se verificar a apropriação de conhecimento dos alunos sobre o Badminton nas aulas de Educação Física. O estudo aponta que ao professor ter uma posição pedagógica de criticidade, contribuiu com a formação significativa dos alunos.
