Resumo: Through a revisiting of pathways in Art Education, by examining perspectives in their social, cultural, and educational functions, we took as a reference theoretical and methodological approaches in the development of Theater Education, which lead us to the need of opening doors and windows, leaping the school walls. We propose, therefore, to accept the challenge of creating dialogues and articulations with contemporary artistic creation – in vastly different contexts – within the framework of critical pedagogy, socially and culturally useful and transformative.Revisiting of pathways, Theater Education, critical pedagogy, dialogue with contemporary artistic creation, different educational contexts
