Expected and unexpected: manifestations of public school on the contemporary art

Resumo: In this paper we present and discuss an Art exhibition project entitled Natureza-Viva (Nature-Alive) that contains elements that are characteristic of contemporary Art. Data were collected at three editions of the exhibition, held in the Brazilian cities of Canoinhas, Lages and Florianópolis, all in the state of Santa Catarina. Visitors’ testimonials and comments were organized into categories and analyzed. Statements made by scholars of the subject were corroborated, but the unpredictable also brought up unexpected points for reflection.Expected and unexpected: manifestations of public school on the contemporary art

As manifestações dos visitantes – na maioria, alunos -, deixadas por escrito, foram organizadas em categorias para análise.
