This article propose to reflect on some issues experienced by museums in contemporary times, specifically in regard to the your management and administration. Likewise, we want to discuss the social role of museums and cultural spaces and time, what were the strategies implemented by these in order to find solutions to changes facing. To illustrate these strategies, will be taken as example, some programs implemented by two major museums in Mexico. Input, a museum should be at the service of society and be able to protect and spread the culture and identity of each context in which it is embedded, be able to engage with new technologies, and that is characterized as a space that educates and public form. These are some of the constant challenges that these institutions must face in this century.
