Resumo: This article aims to present an activity to help the teaching-learning process of Spanish as a foreign language for university students in the technological course of “Events”. Thus, the first step was the compilation of a study corpus, composed of authentic texts. These were collected from digital newspapers that published news about protocols that must be followed in wedding ceremonies during the Coronavirus pandemic. After analyzing it, with the aid of the computational tool Sketch Engine, a data-driven activity (DDL) was developed to help students observe the most used lexical patterns and, based on them, develop their protocols in Spanish.
