The theological-rhetorical-political unity in the oratory of Dom Aquino Corrêa

Resumo: This text is a brief analysis of the oratory of Dom Aquino Corrêa, identifying in his speeches the existence of a "theological-rhetorical-political unit", a category formulated by Alcir Pécora (1994) in his study on the sermons of Father Antônio Vieira. Initially, the theological, rhetorical and political presuppositions that contribute to the constitution of such a unit are presented. In the analysis of Dom Aquino's discourses - which includes texts from different periods of his life and different contexts of enunciation - it is demonstrated that such a theological-rhetorical-political unity has as a paradigm the mystery of the Incarnation of Christ, more specifically his two natures, divine and human, which are associated, by analogy, with the Church and the State.

Inicialmente, são apresentados os pressupostos teológicos, retóricos e políticos que contribuem para a constituição de tal unidade.
