Resumo: Adriana Calcanhotto's compositions demonstrate a rare visual sensitivity and a particular awareness of the materiality of the linguistic sign. In this way, her songs present a diversity of constructive resources that create landscapes and show the transit between literature, music and plastic arts, so that several phonetic, syntactic and semantic processes become, in a sophisticated way, shapes, colors and frames. Based on semiotic studies of popular song, the aim of this article is to analyze some of the artist's songs, in order to illuminate the relationships between the plastic arts and the sung word in her work.

Desse modo, suas canções apresentam uma diversidade de recursos construtivos, que criam paisagens e evidenciam o trânsito entre a literatura, a música e as artes plásticas, de modo que processos fonéticos, sintáticos e semânticos acabam por se traduzir, de modo sofisticado, em formas, cores e enquadramentos.
