Resumo: In the essay “O homossexual astucioso: primeiras – e necessariamente apressadas – anotações” and the novel Stella Manhattan, both by Silviano Santiago, I propose, in this text, that the Silviano essay writer and supplemented by the fiction writer Silviano. I emphasize concepts such as sexual exile and drift, drawn from the novel, betting on the derision of presumed heterosexuality, through the deconstruction of language, as a way of disowning the roles of men and women, heterosexuals and homosexuals, gays and lesbians.
