Resumo: | The relations of oppression are closely linked to differences that begin in the physiognomy of bodies and erupt in violent impositions of power. Traditionally, the socio-cultural thinking of patriarchy has been propagated in the political and aesthetic spheres, instituting an ethos of violence and exclusion of women. This silencing and oppression is added to prejudices such as racism and xenophobia, behaviors that marginalize indigenous and black women, for example. Thus, we propose a reading about the historical and cultural representation of the female characters from the short story “A Caligrafia de Deus”, to understand aspects of symbolic violence present in this narrative. |
