Resumo: Nowadays, the agricultural tractor is considered to be one of the most important agricultural equipment, due to their versatility at performing a great number of field operations. Since its creation in the mid-1850s, various types and sizes of tractors have been developed, evolving according to changes in technologies, size of agricultural areas and specific functions that they need to perform. Thus, this work aimed to analyze the main design and performance parameters used in the project of agricultural tractors through official test reports available at international database. Were analyzed the main changes in framing and performance, besides the influence that the air intake device exerts at the engine performance. The present work was carried out by obtaining, processing and analyzing data from 888 official agricultural tractor test reports, specifically from agricultural tractors with three and four cylinders engines. Through the selecting of the test reports carried out between the years 1993 to 2018, which follows OECD Standard Test (Code 2) and, which are available in the databases from the Nebraska Tractor Test Laboratory (NTTL) and from the Organization for Economic Co-Operation and Development (OECD). The main results demonstrate that the mass/power ratio of agricultural tractors with three and four-cylinder engines decreased between the years 1993 and 2018, indicating an increase at the versatility of the tractors. The mass of agricultural tractors with three-cylinder engines decreased by approximately 6.38%, while the mass of agricultural tractors with four-cylinder engines showed an approximate growth of 42.66% during the analyzed period. The displacement/power ratio showed decreasing behavior between the years 1993 and 2018 for both agricultural tractor settings, showing this reduction at percentage values of 25.76% and 50.09%, respectively for tractors with three-cylinder and four-cylinder engines. In addition, agricultural tractor engines have become more efficient in terms of performance. As for the air intake of the engines, the use of supercharging in the engines of three and four cylinder at agricultural tractors improves their performance by providing greater torque and power, and reducing the specific fuel consumption when compared to natural air aspiration engines. Besides, the downsizing of agricultural tractor engines occurs.

Desde a sua criação, em meados dos anos de 1850, vários tipos e tamanhos de tratores foram desenvolvidos, evoluindo de acordo com as mudanças nas tecnologias, tamanho das áreas agrícolas e funções específicas que eles precisam executar. Dessa forma, este trabalho teve por objetivo analisar os principais parâmetros de projeto e desempenho utilizados na concepção de um trator agrícola através dos relatórios de ensaios oficiais disponíveis em bancos de dados mundiais. Foram analisadas as principais mudanças no comportamento construtivo e de desempenho, bem como a influência que a forma de aspiração de ar exerce sobre o desempenho dos motores. O trabalho foi realizado através da obtenção, processamento e análise de dados provenientes de 888 relatórios oficiais de ensaios de tratores agrícolas com motores de três e quatro cilindros, realizados entres os anos de 1993 a 2018, que seguem o Código 2 da OECD e que se encontram disponíveis nos bancos de dados do Nebraska Tractor Test Laboratory (NTTL) e da Organisation for Economic Co-Operation and Development (OECD). Os principais resultados revelam que a relação massa/potência dos tratores agrícolas com motores de três e quatro cilindros apresentou comportamento decrescente entre os anos de 1993 e 2018, indicando o aumento da versatilidade dos tratores. Já, a massa dos tratores agrícolas com motores de três cilindros apresentou redução de aproximadamente 6,38%, enquanto a massa dos tratores agrícolas com motores de quatro cilindros apresentou crescimento aproximado de 42,66% durante o período analisado. A relação volume deslocado/potência apresentou comportamento decrescente entre os anos de 1993 e 2018 tanto para os tratores agrícolas com motores de três cilindros quanto para os tratores agrícolas com motores de quatro cilindros, apresentando essa redução em valores percentuais de 25,76% e 50,09% respectivamente. Ademais, os motores dos tratores agrícolas têm se tornado mais eficientes quanto ao desempenho. Quanto à forma de admissão de ar dos motores, o uso de sobrealimentação nos motores dos tratores agrícolas melhora o desempenho destes fornecendo maior torque e potência, além de reduzir o consumo específico de combustível quando comparados aos motores de aspiração natural de ar. Também, constatou-se a ocorrência do downsizing dos motores dos tratores agrícolas.Conselho Nacional de Pesquisa e Desenvolvimento Científico e Tecnológico - CNPqporUniversidade Federal de Santa MariaCentro de Ciências RuraisPrograma de Pós-Graduação em Engenharia AgrícolaUFSMBrasilEngenharia AgrícolaAttribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivatives 4.0 Internationalhttp://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/4.0/info:eu-repo/semantics/openAccessEficiência dos motores dieselHomologaçãoRelação massa/potênciaSobrealimentaçãoDiesel engine efficiencyType-approvalMass/power ratioSuperchargingCNPQ::CIENCIAS AGRARIAS::ENGENHARIA AGRICOLAParâmetros de projeto e desempenho de tratores agrícolas a partir do banco mundial de ensaiosDesign and performance parameters of agricultural tractors based on international databaseinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersioninfo:eu-repo/semantics/masterThesisSchlosser, José Fernandohttp://lattes.cnpq.br/0575023987760421Russini, AlexandreMogorrón, Heliodoro Francisco Catalánhttp://lattes.cnpq.br/2777628836496171Herzog, Daniela50030000000860060060066609d8a-30dd-463d-9687-a65af74130cb45a37124-ce71-4e1d-b9ea-5b042afe670f46227ad4-ea72-45d1-b219-6a227f22a38c205d1c2b-9436-4c15-88f3-562e3d18b840reponame:Repositório Institucional Manancial UFSMinstname:Universidade Federal de Santa Maria (UFSM)instacron:UFSMORIGINALDIS_PPGEA_2020_HERZOG_DANIELA.pdfDIS_PPGEA_2020_HERZOG_DANIELA.pdfDissertação de Mestradoapplication/pdf3407594http://repositorio.ufsm.br/bitstream/1/22933/1/DIS_PPGEA_2020_HERZOG_DANIELA.pdfdbb12cbd5c335f681c447d88ff2e7c16MD51LICENSElicense.txtlicense.txttext/plain;
