Resumo: | Precision agriculture has proven to be an important tool for achieving high levels of productivity, food security and sustainability. However, the literature demonstrates a slow and heterogeneous adoption of it, mainly due to the lack of knowledge and understanding about the techniques precision agriculture and the marked lack of qualified individuals in the subject. Thus, with higher education institutions being the main trainers of technically qualified professionals, the present study aimed to conduct a survey the agronomy courses of Brazilian Higher Education Institutions, on the approach and structuring of teaching and research in the area of precision agriculture. For this, an exploratory, qualitative and non-probabilistic research was carried out, through the sending of a virtual questionnaire. The data regarding the country's agronomy courses were extracted from the public platform and MEC. After obtaining the answered questionnaires, the data were tabulated and submitted to descriptive statistics. Percentage graphs were drawn up for each question, by region and at national level. The study had the participation of 162 higher agronomy courses in Brazil, corresponding to 58.1% of the country's total courses. The results showed that more than half of the courses deal with the theme of precision agriculture as "part of another discipline", mainly in disciplines belonging to the areas of geoprocessing, topography and remote sensing. The South and Southeast regions stood out in the supply of precision agriculture as a "mandatory discipline". Meanwhile, the Midwest and North regions stood out in the precision agriculture approach as "optional discipline". The professors who teach the subject in Brazilian agronomy courses do not necessarily have specialization in the area, and gained access to the subject during teacher training. GPS is the main tool available to assist activities involving the theme. Consequently, the research developed by the institutions is mainly in the area of georeferenced management of soil and plant attributes. In short, this study is the first research on the approach and structuring of higher agronomy courses in Higher Education Institutions in Brazil, on precision agriculture; therefore, it can be used as a reference for future studies that will be developed. In addition, the importance of knowledge about the approach to precision agriculture in the country's courses is highlighted, dissemination and success in the agricultural system. Finally, we highlight the need for the inclusion of precision agriculture disciplines in the curriculum of agronomy courses in Brazil, to promote the necessary professional training and meeting social and economic demands by specialized labor in the area. |

No entanto, a literatura demonstra uma lenta e heterogênea adoção da mesma, principalmente em função da falta de conhecimento e entendimento sobre as técnicas de agricultura de precisão e a carência acentuada de indivíduos qualificados no assunto. Dessa forma, sendo as Instituições de Ensino Superior as principais formadoras de profissionais capacitados e qualificados tecnicamente, o presente estudo objetivou realizar um levantamento junto aos cursos de agronomia das Instituições de Ensino Superior brasileiras, sobre a abordagem e estruturação do ensino e pesquisa na área de agricultura de precisão. Para isso, realizou-se uma pesquisa exploratória, qualitativa e não-probabilística, mediante o envio de questionário virtual. Os dados referentes aos cursos de agronomia do país, foram extraídos da plataforma pública e- MEC. Após a obtenção dos questionários respondidos, os dados foram tabulados e submetidos a estatística descritiva. Foram elaborados gráficos percentuais para cada questão, por região e a nível nacional. O estudo contou com a participação de 162 cursos superiores de agronomia do Brasil, correspondendo a 58,1% do total de cursos do país. Os resultados mostraram que mais da metade dos cursos, abordam a temática agricultura de precisão como “parte de outra disciplina”, principalmente em disciplinas pertencentes as áreas de geoprocessamento, topografia e sensoriamento remoto. As regiões Sul e Sudeste destacaram-se na oferta de agricultura de precisão como “disciplina obrigatória”. Enquanto isso, as regiões Centro-Oeste e Norte, destacaram-se na abordagem de agricultura de precisão como “disciplina optativa”. Os docentes que ministram o assunto nos cursos de agronomia brasileiros, não possuem necessariamente especialização na área, e obtiveram acesso ao assunto durante a formação docente. O GPS é a principal ferramenta disponível para auxílio das atividades envolvendo a temática. Consequentemente, as pesquisas desenvolvidas pelas instituições, encontram-se principalmente na área de manejo georreferenciado de atributos de solo e plantas. Em suma, este estudo constitui a primeira investigação sobre a abordagem e estruturação dos cursos superiores de agronomia das Instituições de Ensino Superior do Brasil, sobre a agricultura de precisão; portanto, poderá ser usado como referência para os futuros estudos que serão desenvolvidos. Além disso, salienta-se a importância do conhecimento sobre a abordagem desse tema nos cursos do país, para o auxílio na disseminação e sucesso da mesma no sistema agrícola. Por fim, destaca-se a necessidade da inclusão de disciplinas de agricultura de precisão nas grades curriculares dos cursos de agronomia do Brasil, para promoção da capacitação profissional necessária e atendimento das demandas sociais e econômicas por mão de obra especializada na área.Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior - CAPESFundação de Apoio à Tecnologia e Ciência - FATECporUniversidade Federal de Santa MariaUFSM Frederico WestphalenPrograma de Pós-Graduação em AgronomiaUFSMBrasilAgronomiaAttribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivatives 4.0 Internationalhttp://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/4.0/info:eu-repo/semantics/openAccessEducaçãoAgricultura digitalSustentabilidadeEducationDigital agricultureSustainabilityCNPQ::CIENCIAS AGRARIAS::AGRONOMIAO ensino em agricultura de precisão nos cursos de agronomia das Instituições de Ensino Superior (IES) brasileirasTeaching in precision agriculture in agronomy courses of brazilian Higher Education Institutions (HEIs)info:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersioninfo:eu-repo/semantics/masterThesisSanti, Antônio Luishttp://lattes.cnpq.br/6223011493102530Toebe, MarcosVian, Andre LuisCherubin, Maurício Robertohttp://lattes.cnpq.br/0404160150182505Moraes, Mariana Poll50010000000960060060060060060026e69663-7809-4435-8e7a-419ac889c5f392666c03-b274-4e06-99b7-9facbbdd5bcc11450b5c-b3de-4b77-a520-ffb6f39dfcd22a4f8db8-9a94-4d3c-abac-a97872d3d0fd1b369e32-2177-4e9f-aa25-8f288a2dd0bdreponame:Manancial - Repositório Digital da UFSMinstname:Universidade Federal de Santa Maria (UFSM)instacron:UFSMORIGINALDIS_PPGAAA_2021_MORAES_MARIANA.pdfDIS_PPGAAA_2021_MORAES_MARIANA.pdfDissertaçãoapplication/pdf1045565http://repositorio.ufsm.br/bitstream/1/22148/1/DIS_PPGAAA_2021_MORAES_MARIANA.pdf0585de18639789136df187d59d41a7f0MD51CC-LICENSElicense_rdflicense_rdfapplication/rdf+xml;
