Resumo: The physical properties of the soil can be changed after vehicle traffic, especially in high humidity conditions. The persistence and intensity of soil changes promoted by vehicle traffic are mainly dependent on factors such as texture, moisture, organic matter content and its stress history. The Santa Maria Instruction Field (CISM), where the experiment was carried out, is currently the instruction field for armored vehicles in Brazil with the highest use intensity, with the M113 BR being the most used armored vehicle. The objective of this work was to verify the effects of different traffic configurations of the M113 BR on the physical mechanical properties of an Abruptic Alisol. The study was conducted in a completely randomized design, independently evaluating the effect of straight and pivoting traffic in three soil layers (0.00-0.04, 0.10-0.14 and 0.20-0.24 m). For the straight-line traffic, were evaluated traffic intensities (TI) with one (TI1), two (TI2) and five (TI5) passes on the same trail. For the pivoting traffic, were evaluated TI with one (TI1P) and two (TI2P) pivots. Both studies had two non-traffic treatments (NT). It were made the analysis of the soil bulk density (Bd), total porosity (TP), macroporosity (Ma), microporosity (Mi), saturated soil hydraulic conductivity (Ks), soil penetration resistance (PR), soil bearing capacity, preconsolidation pressure, gravimetric water content, particle size distribution, total organic carbon, morphological description, general botanical composition and dry mass of the vegetation. In the straight-line traffic, prevailed the cases with no significant differences in TP, Ma, Mi and Ks. The highest TP, smallest Bd and largest Mi were observed in the 0.10-0.14 m layer. In the pivoting traffic, one pass was sufficient to increase Bd and decrease TP, Ma, Mi and Ks in the 0.00-0.04 m layer and the increase from one to two pivotings had significant difference only in Mi in this same layer. Both types of traffic intensity did not affect the PR in any layer. The Abruptic Alisol supports the loads resulting from M113 BR vehicle traffic when it occurs in a straight line. The pivoting maneuver promoted additional compaction to the topsoil, increasing its degradation. The preconsolidation pressure was not an adequate parameter to verify the soil's ability to support the loads applied by pivoting traffic

A persistência e intensidade dessas mudanças dependem principalmente de fatores como textura, umidade, conteúdo de matéria orgânica e histórico de cargas aplicadas. O Campo de Instrução de Santa Maria (CISM), onde o experimento foi realizado, é atualmente o campo de instrução para veículos blindados com a maior intensidade de uso no Brasil, sendo o M113 BR o veículo blindado mais utilizado. O objetivo deste trabalho foi verificar os efeitos de diferentes modos de tráfego do M113 BR nas propriedades físicas e mecânicas de um Argissolo Vermelho-Amarelo. O estudo foi conduzido em delineamento inteiramente casualizado, avaliando independentemente o efeito do tráfego em linha reta e pivotamento em três camadas do solo (0,00-0,04, 0,10-0,14 e 0,20-0,24 m). Para o tráfego em linha reta, foram avaliadas as intensidades de tráfego (IT) com uma (IT1), duas (IT2) e cinco (IT5) passadas no mesmo rastro. Para o tráfego em pivotamento, foram avaliadas IT com um (IT1P) e dois (IT2P) pivotamentos. Ambos os estudos tiveram dois tratamentos sem tráfego (ST). Foram feitas análises da densidade do solo (Ds), porosidade total (PT), macroporosidade (Ma), microporosidade (Mi), condutividade hidráulica do solo saturado (Ks), resistência do solo à penetração (RP), capacidade de suporte de carga, pressão de preconsolidação, umidade gravimétrica, distribuição granulométrica, carbono orgânico total, descrição morfológica do perfil do solo, composição botânica geral e biomassa seca da vegetação. No tráfego em linha reta, prevaleceram os casos sem diferenças significativas na PT, Ma, Mi e Ks. O PT mais alto, o menor Ds e o maior Mi foram observados na camada de 0,10-0,14 m. No estudo em pivotamento, um tráfego foi suficiente para aumentar a Ds e diminuir PT, Ma, Mi e Ks na camada de 0,00-0,04 e, para esta mesma camada, o aumento de um para dois pivotamentos teve diferença significativa apenas na Mi. Ambos os tipos de intensidade de tráfego não afetaram a RP em nenhuma camada. O Argissolo suportou as cargas resultantes do tráfego do M113 BR quando este ocorreu em linha reta. O tráfego em pivotamento promoveu compactação adicional na camada superficial do solo, aumentando sua degradação. A pressão de preconsolidação não foi um parâmetro adequado para verificar a capacidade do solo de suportar as cargas aplicadas pelo tráfego em pivotamentoConselho Nacional de Pesquisa e Desenvolvimento Científico e Tecnológico - CNPqporUniversidade Federal de Santa MariaCentro de Ciências RuraisPrograma de Pós-Graduação em Ciência do SoloUFSMBrasilAgronomiaAttribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivatives 4.0 Internationalhttp://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/4.0/info:eu-repo/semantics/openAccessCompactação do soloTrafegabilidadeVeículos off-roadDensidade do soloSoil compactionOff-roadTrafficabilityBulk densityCNPQ::CIENCIAS AGRARIAS::AGRONOMIA::CIENCIA DO SOLOPropriedades físicas do solo após tráfego da viatura blindada de transporte militar M113 BR no campo de instrução de Santa Maria, RSPhysical properties of soil after M113 BR armored military carrier’s traffic at Santa Maria instruction field, RSinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersioninfo:eu-repo/semantics/masterThesisPedron, Fabrício de Araújohttp://lattes.cnpq.br/6868334304493274Weber, Mirla de AndradeXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXGubiani, Paulo IvonirXXXXXXXXXXXXXXhttp://lattes.cnpq.br/3663444795827659Barbosa, Beatriz Wardzinski500100100005600f8f6a495-68e2-4652-9f6b-c78d1dab67f51278502c-742e-4de0-a9c6-c74d3926ce01f2f8f3e0-43a6-42c8-a5ed-abddc438bcfaafe70a3b-8823-4520-9efd-dc8ea9caa6a0reponame:Manancial - Repositório Digital da UFSMinstname:Universidade Federal de Santa Maria (UFSM)instacron:UFSMCC-LICENSElicense_rdflicense_rdfapplication/rdf+xml;
