Resumo: | This dissertation is an extract of empirical (sensitive) processes experienced by the author (artist-performer) during the research in visual poetics carried out between the years 2016 and 2018. This research purpose to realize performances from the crisscross (interpenetration) of the boundaries between human and animal bodies (and actions), derived from a rescue of personal experiences in proximity to the domestic animal - cow - and from the elaboration of these experiences in the concretion of projects / studies for performances. Thus, this research sets out to think how the intertwining of the boundaries between human and animal can construct another horizon for the production of performances. For this, the research trajectory involves the creation of a body-another - constructed with the overlapping of parts of a cow (skull and skin) over the body of the artist (human body) –, through performing projects (studies) for performances until the realization of actions in different spaces. Through this poetic bias, three performances and a project for performance that, in the development of the research, culminated in the idea of suspension, understood as an openness to the indefinition of the boundaries between bodies, space-times, the happening in the midst of everyday reality, the relationship between the performer and the witnesses of performance and, in parallel, a phenomenon of concentration of attention and energy of the witnesses and the performer during the construction of a performative space-time. Some of the performances that made up this research became a local reference in discussions about art, generating an impact not only in the artistic medium but also in the broader context of the regional society, leading to questions about the ethical and aesthetic limits of artistic making. |

Some of the performances that made up this research became a local reference in discussions about art, generating an impact not only in the artistic medium but also in the broader context of the regional society, leading to questions about the ethical and aesthetic limits of artistic making.Esta dissertação é uma extração de processos empíricos (sensíveis) vivenciados pelo autor (artista-performer) durante a pesquisa em poéticas visuais realizada entre os anos de 2016 e 2018. Tal pesquisa teve como objetivo conceber performances a partir do entrecruzamento (interpenetração) das fronteiras entre os corpos (e ações) humano e animal, oriundo do resgate de algumas experiências pessoais vivenciadas na proximidade com o animal doméstico – vaca – e da elaboração destas experiências na concreção de projetos / estudos para performances. Assim, esta pesquisa se dispõe a pensar de que maneira o entrecruzamento das fronteiras entre humano e animal pode construir outro horizonte para a produção de performances. Para tanto a trajetória de pesquisa percorre a criação de um corpo-outro – construído com a sobreposição de partes de uma vaca (crânio e couro) sobre o corpo do artista –, passando pela realização de projetos (estudos) para performances até a realização de ações presenciais em distintos espaços. Por este viés poético, são contextualizadas reflexivamente três performances e um projeto para performance que, no desenvolvimento da pesquisa, culminaram na ideia de suspensão, entendida como uma abertura à indefinição das fronteiras entre os corpos, os espaço-tempos, o acontecimento em meio a realidade cotidiana, a relação entre o performer e as testemunhas da performance e, paralelamente, um fenômeno de concentração da atenção e da energia das testemunhas e do performer durante a construção de um espaço-tempo performático. Algumas das performances que compuseram esta pesquisa tornaram-se referência local em discussões acerca da arte, gerando um impacto sentido não só no meio artístico como no contexto mais amplo da sociedade regional, levando a questionamentos sobre os limites éticos e estéticos do fazer artístico.Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior - CAPESporUniversidade Federal de Santa MariaCentro de Artes e LetrasPrograma de Pós-Graduação em Artes VisuaisUFSMBrasilArtesAttribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivatives 4.0 Internationalhttp://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/4.0/info:eu-repo/semantics/openAccessArte contemporâneaArte e visualidadePerformanceHumano-animalHuman-animalContemporary artArt and visualityPerformance artCNPQ::LINGUISTICA, LETRAS E ARTES::ARTESHumano-animal (suspensão): uma poética em performanceHuman-animal (suspension): a performance poeticinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersioninfo:eu-repo/semantics/masterThesisStumm, Rebeca Lenizehttp://lattes.cnpq.br/2180723274611305Cedillo, Rosa María Blancahttp://lattes.cnpq.br/2502746878890998Biriba, Ricardo Barretohttp://lattes.cnpq.br/6025062637469415http://lattes.cnpq.br/1687567471691538Scota, Mateus800300000006600280d90c3-5fdb-4456-b3d6-4859bff3a850be95cf28-717e-488a-a6cc-43d18b14b15d28f49ef4-ac8d-464d-ab09-0bb62f3cacabf0587a33-fbdf-4988-95f9-73943e52345creponame:Manancial - Repositório Digital da UFSMinstname:Universidade Federal de Santa Maria (UFSM)instacron:UFSMORIGINALDIS_PPGAV_2018_SCOTA_MATEUS.pdfDIS_PPGAV_2018_SCOTA_MATEUS.pdfDissertação de Mestradoapplication/pdf3550390http://repositorio.ufsm.br/bitstream/1/14495/1/DIS_PPGAV_2018_SCOTA_MATEUS.pdfae72262d314027ef12fa6c628ce17611MD51CC-LICENSElicense_rdflicense_rdfapplication/rdf+xml;
