Resumo: | This work presents a proposed methodology for designing lighting systems for horticulture, providing a historical context of plant physiology, and examining the influence of solar irradiation on cultivars in the southern region of Brazil, such as soybeans. With limited studies on the use of light-emitting diodes (LEDs) in agricultural systems, it is necessary to investigate the use of these systems and present the potential opportunities for their utilization. The necessary concepts for building the knowledge base regarding irrigation pivot agriculture systems are presented, highlighting the main types, advantages, and challenges of these systems. This review is essential for understanding the problem and sizing lighting systems suitable for horticulture. Addressing radiometric variables, LEDs are researched. With the aim of developing sustainable agricultural practices, studies and implementations of techniques that enhance the productivity of nutrient-rich crops are encouraged. The overview of soybean cultivation, with the presentation of agricultural productivity metrics, underscores a multidisciplinary study on the use of LEDs in horticulture systems. The concepts and key characteristics of these devices that justify their use in agricultural systems are also presented. The use of high-efficiency photosynthetic photon flux density LEDs, along with the development of a design methodology, enables the use of high-power LED modules as supplemental lighting for horticulture. The implementation of two experiments is carried out, with the first serving as a proof of concept, demonstrating the effects of artificial lighting on soybean crops during the vegetative stage. Finally, the second experiment is conducted using the presented design methodology during the soybean harvest in 2021, in a rural area provided by the Federal University of Santa Maria, in partnership with the Field Crops group. |

Com poucos estudos sobre o emprego de diodos emissores de luz em sistemas de agricultura, faz-se necessária a investigação do uso desses sistemas, apresentando as possíveis oportunidades dessa utilização. São apresentados os conceitos necessários para a construção da base do conhecimento no que se diz respeito a sistemas de agricultura com pivôs de irrigação, evidenciando os principais tipos, as vantagens e os desafios desses sistemas. Tal revisão é necessária para a compreensão do problema e para dimensionar sistemas de iluminação próprios para horticultura. Abordando variáveis radiométricas, os LEDs são pesquisados. Tendo como propósito o desenvolvimento de práticas de agricultura sustentáveis, motivam-se estudos e implementações de técnicas que atuam no incremento de produtividade de plantios ricos em nutrientes. O panorama do cultivo do grão de soja com a apresentação de métricas de produtividade na agricultura evidenciam um estudo multidisciplinar sobre a utilização de LEDs em sistemas de horticultura. São apresentados também os conceitos e as principais características desses dispositivos que justifiquem seu uso em sistemas agrícolas. A utilização de LEDs de elevada eficácia de fótons fotossintéticos, junto ao desenvolvimento de uma metodologia de projeto, viabiliza o uso de módulos de LED de potência como suplementação de luz aplicado à horticultura. A implementação de dois experimentos é realizada, utilizando o primeiro como uma prova de conceito, demonstrando os efeitos da iluminação artificial em plantios de soja durante o estágio vegetativo. Por fim, o segundo experimento é realizado utilizando a metodologia de projeto apresentada, durante a safra de soja no ano de 2021, numa zona rural disponibilizada pela Universidade Federal de Santa Maria, em parceria com o grupo Field Crops.Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior - CAPESporUniversidade Federal de Santa MariaCentro de TecnologiaPrograma de Pós-Graduação em Engenharia ElétricaUFSMBrasilEngenharia ElétricaAttribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivatives 4.0 Internationalhttp://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/4.0/info:eu-repo/semantics/openAccessDiodos emissores de luzRadiometriaDistribuição espectral de potênciaLEDs para horticulturaRadiação em comprimentos de onda específicosLight emitting diodesRadiometric characteristicsHorticultural LEDsSpectral power distributionSpecific wavelength emissionsCNPQ::ENGENHARIAS::ENGENHARIA ELETRICAMetodologia de projeto de um sistema de iluminação suplementar em conjunto com pivô de irrigação para o cultivo da sojaDesign methodology for a supplemental lighting system in conjunction with irrigation pivot for soybean cultivationinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersioninfo:eu-repo/semantics/masterThesisDalla Costa, Marco Antôniohttp://lattes.cnpq.br/4455422053321491Luz, Paulo César VargasAlmeida, Pedro Santoshttp://lattes.cnpq.br/1561473131085391Vegner, Igor Gass3004000000076006006006006004e82ca7f-4cee-4e8a-9019-64e291cdf7cd46f3e75a-7ba1-410c-937b-de836e485dbc07481de1-53b1-40ba-95a9-62fa34f560b8589363f5-1178-4e01-ba32-27a1446230f4reponame:Repositório Institucional Manancial UFSMinstname:Universidade Federal de Santa Maria (UFSM)instacron:UFSMORIGINALDIS_PPGEE_2023_VEGNER_IGOR.pdfDIS_PPGEE_2023_VEGNER_IGOR.pdfDissertaçãoapplication/pdf6161167http://repositorio.ufsm.br/bitstream/1/30257/1/DIS_PPGEE_2023_VEGNER_IGOR.pdff4787ccc7f62a96d9daa2330a7fe4a8dMD51CC-LICENSElicense_rdflicense_rdfapplication/rdf+xml;
