Resumo: Co/Pd multilayers and [Co/Pd] / Co / (Pd or Cu)/ [Co/Pd] pseudo spin-valves (PSV) with different configurations have been grown by dc magnetron sputtering technique onto glass substrate and different nanostructured anodic aluminum oxide (AAO) substrates (dots or antidots). Structural characterization has been made by x-ray diffraction and x-ray reflectometry, and image characterization has been performed using atomic force microscopy and scanning electron microscopy. Magnetic behavior has been measured using an alternating gradient field magnetometer and the surface magnetization has been imaged by magnetic force microscopy. Extraordinary Hall effect and magnetoresistance transport measurement played an important role in this work. The behavior of the magnetic reversion in the multilayers is dependent of the cobalt thickness, and for thicknesses smaller than 4Å the magnetization remains perpendicular to the surface of the sample. The inversion in the PSV magnetization is characterized by two phases, a consequence of the decoupling between the multilayers that is strongly dependent on the thickness of the spacer and the number of repetitions of the Co/Pd. The coercivity of films grown onto AAO membranes is greater than that of continuous films because of the greater number of imperfections that act as pinning points for the magnetic domains. An evolution in magnetoresistance values was obtained as a function of the thickness of the spacer and number of Co/Pd bilayers. Anomalous peaks in the Hall effect measurements in PSVs show the possibility of applications in non-volatile magnetic storage systems.

An evolution in magnetoresistance values was obtained as a function of the thickness of the spacer and number of Co/Pd bilayers. Anomalous peaks in the Hall effect measurements in PSVs show the possibility of applications in non-volatile magnetic storage systems.Multicamadas de Co/Pd e pseudoválvulas de spin (PSV) de [Co/Pd] / Co / (Pd ou Cu) / [Co/Pd] com diferentes configurações foram crescidas, utilizando a técnica de magnetron sputtering dc, sobre substratos de vidro e diferentes substratos de óxido de alumínio anodizado nanoestruturados (AAO), tanto sobre poros quanto sobre domos. Caracterizações estruturais foram feitas por meio de difração de raios x e reflectometria de raios x, e caracterização por imagens foram realizadas utilizando microscópio de força atômica e microscópio eletrônico de varredura. O comportamento magnético foi medido utilizando um magnetômetro de gradiente de campo alternado e imagens magnéticas da superfície foram observadas utilizando um microscópio de força magnética. Medidas de transporte de efeito Hall extraordinário e de magnetorresistência tiveram um importante papel nas investigações deste trabalho. O comportamento da reversão magnética nas multicamadas é dependente da espessura do cobalto, sendo que para espessuras menores do que 4Å a magnetização se mantém perpendicular a superfície da amostra. A inversão na magnetização das PSV é caracterizada por duas fases, como consequência do desacoplamento entre as multicamadas que é fortemente dependente da espessura do espaçador e do número de repetições das bicamadas de Co/Pd. A coercividade dos filmes crescidos sobre membranas de AAO é maior do que a dos filmes contínuos devido ao maior número de imperfeições que funcionam como pontos de fixação para os domínios magnéticos. Uma evolução nos valores de magnetorresistência foi obtido em função da espessura do espaçador e número de bicamadas Co/Pd. Picos anômalos nas medidas de efeito Hall nas PSVs mostram a possibilidade de aplicações em sistemas de armazenamento magnético não volátil.Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior - CAPESporUniversidade Federal de Santa MariaCentro de Ciências Naturais e ExatasPrograma de Pós-Graduação em FísicaUFSMBrasilFísicaAttribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivatives 4.0 Internationalhttp://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/4.0/info:eu-repo/semantics/openAccessAnisotropia magnética perpendicularPseudoválvula de spinÓxido de alumínio anodizadoCobaltoPaládioPerpendicular magnetic anisotropyPseudospin valveAnodic aluminum oxideCobaltPalladiumCNPQ::CIENCIAS EXATAS E DA TERRA::FISICAMulticamadas magnéticas e pseudoválvulas de spin com anisotropia perpendicular sobre substratos nanoestruturadosMultilayers and pseudo spin valves with perpendicular anisotropy on nanostructured substratesinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersioninfo:eu-repo/semantics/doctoralThesisDorneles, Lucio Strazzaboscohttp://lattes.cnpq.br/7244173039310066Denardin, Juliano Casagrandehttp://lattes.cnpq.br/5425237044575885Gündel, Andréhttp://lattes.cnpq.br/9063998902105812Andrade, Antonio Marcos Helgueira dehttp://lattes.cnpq.br/5005867811414170Daudt, Natália de Freitashttp://lattes.cnpq.br/3938857351102458Calegari, Eleonir Joãohttp://lattes.cnpq.br/6030572534512173http://lattes.cnpq.br/2154789200595625Rosa, Diego Saldanha da100500000006600500e5de4f50-b352-48fb-a699-ffab7b7d8f1da851c95c-25db-4f15-aa53-0c975993928d319f46b0-313b-4ee9-a2e9-6c3defe3036cc60cb78d-9274-4c5d-9822-bdae4ba561fdc3fb6592-11dd-487a-81c0-f482b7fd9b85cc3fa52f-cd1b-4fe4-a2f7-4ee37a3541707a7de2b6-f62b-449a-8d32-3cc578160abfreponame:Manancial - Repositório Digital da UFSMinstname:Universidade Federal de Santa Maria (UFSM)instacron:UFSMORIGINALTES_PPGFISICA_2018_ROSA_DIEGO.pdfTES_PPGFISICA_2018_ROSA_DIEGO.pdfTese de Doutoradoapplication/pdf20172110http://repositorio.ufsm.br/bitstream/1/15184/1/TES_PPGFISICA_2018_ROSA_DIEGO.pdfdacf23fba05bbc8c6bc5c588d0a115f1MD51CC-LICENSElicense_rdflicense_rdfapplication/rdf+xml;
