Resumo: | Agriculture is directly associated with climate change issues and is one of the main sectors of the economy responsible for global Greenhouse Gas (GHG) emissions. Part of the emissions comes from the burning of fossil fuels such as coal, natural gas and oil used as a source of energy for the performance of internal combustion engines of agricultural machinery. Therefore, these elements have a direct influence on the amount of pollutants that are emitted into the environment. In order to reduce the negative impacts on air quality and the environment caused by the burning of fossil fuels in the engines of the agricultural machinery, programs have been developed to control emissions of atmospheric pollutants. In Brazil, the maximum permissible pollutant emission limits for each engine power range for agricultural machinery is the Air Pollution Control Program for Motor Vehicles for Road and Agricultural Machines-phase I (PROCONVE MAR-I). Brazilian regulations follow the standards of control based on the United States of America and the European Union. Thus, to achieve the concentrations of pollutants determined by legislation, new engines are being developed with electronic fuel injection system and exhaust after treatment systems. These are alternatives used to mitigate the impact of emissions of pollutants into the atmosphere. Thus, the objective of the study is to verify how Brazilian manufacturers are adapting their engine designs for agricultural machinery to the new rules determined by PROCONVE MAR-I. As a complement, we seek to analyze patent publications in order to identify which post-treatment systems for agricultural machine engines are being developed and which are the main manufacturers in the Brazilian market. The research adopted the procedures of survey and Systematic Bibliographic Review as research methods, classified as descriptive and comparative, of an exploratory nature. For the collection of patent data the Questel Orbit Platform was used in the time interval between 2006 and 2017. As contributions, the research presented an overview of the implementation and acceptability of PROCONVE MAR-I by the agricultural machine manufacturers, in order to facilitate understanding of the impacts of legislation, so as to assist in the achievement of the subsequent stages of regulation. With regard to patent analysis, the main claimed technologies recovered in the searches are largely characterized by improving the performance of turbocharged engines and by the increase of exhaust after treatment systems. Finally, it was found that PROCONVE MAR-I is also characterized by being an agent of innovation in compliant companies. |

Parte das emissões é resultante da queima de combustíveis fósseis como o carvão, o gás natural e o petróleo utilizados como fonte de energia para o desempenho dos motores de combustão interna das máquinas agrícolas. Logo, esses elementos têm influência direta na quantidade de poluentes que são emitidos para o ambiente. Com o objetivo de reduzir os impactos negativos na qualidade do ar e no meio ambiente provocados pela queima de combustíveis fósseis nos motores das máquinas agrícolas, foram desenvolvidos programas de controle de emissões de poluentes atmosféricos. No Brasil, o responsável por estabelecer os limites máximos de emissões de poluentes permissíveis para cada faixa de potência de motor para máquinas agrícolas é o Programa de Controle da Poluição do Ar por Veículos Automotores para Máquinas Agrícolas e Rodoviárias-fase I (PROCONVE MAR-I). A regulamentação brasileira segue os padrões de controle fundamentados nos Estados Unidos da América e na União Europeia. Assim, para que sejam alcançadas as concentrações dos poluentes determinadas pela legislação, estão sendo desenvolvidos novos motores com sistema de injeção eletrônico de combustível e com sistemas de pós-tratamento dos gases de escape. Tratam-se de alternativas utilizadas para mitigar o impacto das emissões de poluentes para a atmosfera. Desse modo, o objetivo do estudo consiste em verificar como os fabricantes brasileiros estão adequando os seus projetos de motores para máquinas agrícolas às novas regras determinadas pelo PROCONVE MAR-I. Como complemento, busca-se analisar as publicações de patentes com a finalidade de identificar quais sistemas de pós-tratamento para motores de máquinas agrícolas estão sendo desenvolvidos e quais são os principais fabricantes no mercado brasileiro. A pesquisa adotou os procedimentos de survey e de Revisão Bibliográfica Sistemática como métodos de investigação, classificando-se como descritiva e comparativa, de caráter exploratório. Para a coleta de dados de patentes foi utilizado a Plataforma Questel Orbit no intervalo de tempo entre 2006 e 2017. Como contribuições, a pesquisa apresentou um panorama da implementação e aceitabilidade do PROCONVE MAR-I pelos fabricantes de máquinas agrícolas, com a finalidade de facilitar a compreensão dos impactos da legislação, de modo que auxilie nas realizações das fases subsequentes da regulamentação. Com relação a análise de patentes, as principais tecnologias reivindicadas recuperadas nas buscas caracterizam-se, em grande parte, por melhorar o desempenho dos motores que apresentam turbo alimentação e pelo incremento de sistemas de pós-tratamento dos gases de escape. Por fim, verificou-se que o PROCONVE MAR-I caracterizar-se também por ser um agente de inovação em empresas que cumprem à regulamentação.Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior - CAPESporUniversidade Federal de Santa MariaCentro de TecnologiaPrograma de Pós-Graduação em Engenharia de ProduçãoUFSMBrasilEngenharia de ProduçãoAttribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivatives 4.0 Internationalhttp://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/4.0/info:eu-repo/semantics/openAccessMotores agrícolasGEEPROCONVE MAR-IPatentesAgricultural enginesGHGPatentsCNPQ::ENGENHARIAS::ENGENHARIA DE PRODUCAODiretrizes sobre os limites de emissões de poluentes de motores de máquinas agrícolas no BrasilGuidelines on emission limits of agricultural machine engine pollutants in Brazilinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersioninfo:eu-repo/semantics/masterThesisRuppenthal, Janis Elisahttp://lattes.cnpq.br/7074971060238600Silveira de Farias, Marcelohttp://lattes.cnpq.br/6322690081849134Costa, Marcela Avelina Bataghinhttp://lattes.cnpq.br/7709101582319245http://lattes.cnpq.br/7734335208569639Silveira, Franco da300800000005600f98560cf-d8b9-4147-a4da-6cb98f46a96d6bca07f8-19c6-44b4-8537-f51fefec547e0f0b54d1-f32c-4fac-b68b-6cb5f1f3dae4c6872c34-6622-4fc2-b060-9d01f4be94cdreponame:Repositório Institucional Manancial UFSMinstname:Universidade Federal de Santa Maria (UFSM)instacron:UFSMLICENSElicense.txtlicense.txttext/plain;
