Resumo: The objective of this work was to test the Relative Height Method in the scaling of standing trees of Anadenanthera peregrina. Thus, four different approaches of the use of this method were tested and then compared with a taper model selected among those available in the literature. Data from 110 standing tree samples scaled by the Weller Pentaprism were used. To describe the bole profile of Anadenanthera peregrina trees, the Relative Height Method showed an expressive superiority when all the trees were used, and, when part of them was used, the level of accuracy was the same as that of the use of actual scale data in the adjustment of the taper models.

Testaram-se, então, quatro diferentes maneiras de se empregar este método, comparando-os com um modelo de taper selecionado dentre vários outros disponíveis na literatura. Foram utilizados dados de 110 árvores-amostra cubadas em pé por meio do Pentaprisma de Weller.
