Resumo: | Seeds of Podocarpus lambertii Kl. were collected from a native forest, at the Vista Alegre farm in São Sepé - RS. Physiological maturation was evaluated. For the study of the physiological maturation, seeds were weekly cropped from the moment that they became developed and consistent, until their total fall. The seeds were then analysed according to their moisture content, oven-dry weight and germination percentage.The results indicated that the physiological maturation of the seeds occurs when the humidity percentage reachs lower rates (32%) and the dry weight rates (17,68 g/100 seeds). Also that the humidity percentage may be considered as the best parameter to determine the physiological maturation of Podocarpus lambertii Kl. seeds. |

Com o objetivo de estudar a maturidade fisiológica coletaram-se sementes de Podocarpus lambertii Kl. em uma floresta nativa, localizada na Fazenda Vista Alegre, São Sepé, RS. A colheita foi semanal e efetuada a partir do momento em que as sementes se encontravam desenvolvidas e consistentes, persistindo esse procedimento até a queda total das mesmas. As sementes foram analisadas através do seu teor de umidade, peso de matéria seca e percentagem de germinação.
