Forensic radiology: the case os the discipline that was transformed into a RPG

Resumo: The power of the tale and stories as a means of sharing knowledge has been known since the dawn of civilization, but what if you can be part of that story, deciding and changing its course? This is the universe provided by a game practice known as RolePlaying Game-RPG -, depending on your progress, you can decide the directions that this story takeshe had taken. When we apply this technique in education, the possibilities are endless, allowing the student to become an agent of the law, actively participating in investigations,and unraveling the mysteries of a series of interconnected crimes using knowledge acquired inside and outside the classroom. The objective is to report the case of a course unit of Forensic Radiology, which was taught in theRPG format. The students were guided to create four investigative agencies, which were based in each of the districts of a fictional island andwere called upon to unravel mysteries and crimes that took place on the island. At the end of the discipline, the students answered a satisfaction questionnaire and 80% approved the format used, reporting that the game encouraged discussion of the discipline inside and outside the classroom. The method has wide applicability, but requires careful planning and, at the same time, flexible, as the direction of the story depends on the development and decisions of the players themselves, requiring constant adjustments.

Este é o universo proporcionado por uma prática de jogo conhecida como Role-Playing Game-RPG -, em que você é umpersonagem numa história e, dependendo do seu progresso, pode decidir os rumos que essa história tomará. Ao aplicarmos esta técnica na educação, as possibilidades são infinitas, permitindo ao aluno tornar-se um agente da lei, participando ativamente de investigações e desvendando os mistérios de uma série de crimes interligados, utilizando conhecimentos adquiridos dentro e fora da sala de aula. Assim, por meio deste artigo busca-se relatar o caso de uma unidade curricular de Radiologia Forense, que foi ministrada no formato RPG. Os alunos foram orientados a criar quatro agências de investigação, que foram sediadas em cada um dos distritos de uma ilhafictícia, e eram convocadas a desvendar mistérios e crimes ocorridos na ilha. Ao final da disciplina, os alunos responderam a um questionário de satisfação e 80% aprovaram o formato utilizado, relatando que o jogo incentivou a discussão da disciplina dentro e fora da sala de aula.
