Resumo: | Three short-term interventions have been corroborated for the treatment of ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder): psychotherapeutic (behavioural), psychopharmacological, and the combining of both interventions. This article reviews clinical questions, limitations and efficacy of these interventions. Behavioural interventions in the form of Parental Behavioural Training and the Management of Behavioural Contingencies in the Classroom seem to be particularly efficacious. |

O presente artigo revê questões clínicas envolvidas no uso dessas intervenções, as suas limitações e as evidências da sua eficácia. A perspectiva psicoterapêutica (comportamental), na forma de Treino Comportamental para Pais (TCP) e na Gestão de Contingências do Comportamento (GCC) em sala de aula, mostra-se particularmente eficaz.
