The inclusion process of students with disabilities in Physical Education classes under the teachers’ perspective from the Municipality of Araucária/PR

Resumo: This research aimed to describe the process of inclusion of students with disabilities in Physical Education classes in the city of Araucária (PR), from the perspective of teachers. Qualitative study, in which ten elementary school teachers were evaluated. Data collection took place in two stages: first, the Municipal Department of Education was asked to provide data referring to the general panorama of students in the public school system. Then, interviews were conducted with Physical Education teachers from municipal public schools. Thereby, the results show that most teachers do not have specific training in Physical Education, which makes their performance difficult, in addition to the lack of materials in schools. It was observed that the included students are assisted by support professionals, whose function is to mediate the teaching-learning process together with the regent teacher. Further, it is noteworthy that students with disabilities actively participate in Physical Education classes and have a good social relationship with their peers. Thus, the inclusion of students with disabilities in Physical Education classes has been carried out through the positive attitude of the teacher, who performs activities based on an inclusive perspective and promotes interaction among students. It is concluded that the inclusion of students with disabilities in Physical Education classes, depends on the effort of all those involved and, in the town of Araucária, this process has been developing and has become increasingly natural.

Estudio cualitativo, en el que se evaluó a diez profesores de primaria. La recolección de datos se realizó en dos etapas: 1) se solicitó al Departamento de Educación Municipal que brindara datos referentes al panorama general de los estudiantes en el sistema escolar público; 2) Se realizaron entrevistas con profesores de Educación Física de las escuelas públicas municipales. Los resultados muestran que la mayoría de los docentes no cuentan con una formación específica en Educación Física, lo que dificulta su desempeño, además de la falta de materiales en las escuelas. Se observó que los estudiantes incluidos son asistidos por profesionales de apoyo, cuya función es mediar en el proceso de enseñanza-aprendizaje junto con el docente regente. Es de destacar que los estudiantes con discapacidad participan activamente en las clases de Educación Física y tienen una buena relación social con sus compañeros. Así, la inclusión de alumnos con discapacidad en las clases de Educación Física se ha realizado a través de la actitud positiva del docente, que realiza actividades desde una perspectiva inclusiva y promueve la interacción entre los alumnos. Se concluye que la inclusión de alumnos con discapacidad en las clases de Educación Física depende del esfuerzo de todos los involucrados y, en el municipio de Araucária, este proceso se ha ido desarrollando y se ha tornado cada vez más natural.Esta pesquisa teve como objetivo, descrever o processo de inclusão de alunos com deficiência nas aulas de Educação Física no Município de Araucária (PR), na perspectiva dos professores. Sendo um estudo de caráter qualitativo, foram avaliados dez professores de Ensino Fundamental Anos Iniciais. A coleta de dados realizou-se em duas etapas: primeiramente, foi solicitado à Secretaria Municipal de Educação o fornecimento de dados referentes ao panorama geral de alunos da rede pública de ensino. Em seguida, foram realizadas entrevistas com os professores de Educação Física das escolas públicas municipais. Com isso, os resultados mostram que a maioria dos professores não possui formação específica em Educação Física, o que dificulta a atuação deles, além de que, há carência de materiais nas escolas. Observou-se que os alunos incluídos são atendidos por profissionais de apoio, cuja função é mediar o processo ensino-aprendizagem juntamente com o professor regente. Ainda, ressalta-se que os alunos com deficiência participam ativamente das aulas de Educação Física e têm boa relação social com seus pares. Sendo assim, a inclusão dos alunos com deficiência nas aulas de Educação Física vem sendo efetivada por meio da atitude positiva do professor, que realiza atividades embasadas na perspectiva inclusiva e promove a interação entre os estudantes.
