Resumo: At birth, the baby and the mother go through an adaptation process, which requires adjustments in the routine. Mother-infant interaction is important for the quality of infant development. However, it can be damaged when the mother can not adapt to the demands of the new condition that usually requires other organizations and more elaborate routines. The objective of the present study was to analyze articles that address the mother-infant interaction with disability. The search for articles was conducted in online databases PubMed, SciELO, Capes, Google Scholar, VHL and Parthernon. We selected 28 articles, of which 71.44% were international, whichever is published in Speech magazines. As objective the articles: compared the interaction between mother and baby with and without hearing impairment; analyzed the maternal interactive behavior; identified the risk factors for the interaction; related mother-infant interaction with infant development and, tested the reliability of protocols that encode interaction. Of the articles, 35.71% evaluated one to 15 dyads, 53.57% were with children from 0 to 2 years old, and in 85.71% the mothers were the participants. As for the design, comparative studies prevailed (46.38%), the most used procedure was filming (85.71%), lasting from 16 to 30 minutes (60%), performing two to five episodes (40%) and the most frequent activities were food, hygiene, reading books and games. It is suggested that new studies approach the present theme, in order to assist in the development of interventions in the mother-infant interaction with deficiency.
