Resumo: This article, inspired by a doctoral thesis, carried out in 2018 at a public university of higher education, aimed to understand the uses that the deaf community makes of social networks to give visibility to their actions, with a view to their inclusion in the contemporary scenario. In this context, we present the empowerment strategies used by deaf people in the constitution of their identities, throughout the investigative process. In methodological terms and based on some netnographic assumptions, we use the principles of multi-referentiality (Ardoino, 1998, Macedo 2020), bricolating them to the research approach to everyday life (Alves, 2008; Certeau, 2013). In this way, we launched a plural look at our object of study, from an ecological perspective of knowledge (Santos, B., 2005), mobilizing skills, fostering learning and enhancing their productions, both in their linguistic and cultural aspects. Indeed, we could see a significant contribution of the digital network to sign languages and to the empowerment of deaf communities around the world, by giving visibility to narratives and conversations that emerged from the practices and events experienced together with practitioners.
