Resumo: Nowadays, there is a growing need for rational and efficient use of energy generated, be it traditional or renewable sources. Power electronics performs the interface between generation and consumption, allowing explore the full potential of the majority of energy resources, because power converters execute the interface between generation and consumption, converting and controlling the flow of energy, allowing the use of the full potential of most energy sources, transferring or connecting the storage system for later use. Efforts are employed in search algorithms, methods and techniques of static converters construction, exploring issues such as optimization concerning respect to volume. A volume reducing means using a smaller amount of raw material which, most probably, results in a lower cost and often greater efficiency. The objective of this work is the development of computer technology to perform quickly and efficiently optimized design of static converters to in order to answer losses, volume and cost requirements. Each converter project is carried out globally, with reference to the operating point (i@ fs), where i is the ripple of the input current and fs is the switching frequency. The computational tool allows, in addition to creating designs for different operating points, the creation of different projects for the same operating point, varying with respect to the components (technologies). This is, setting an operating point it is possible to obtain designs composed of different diodes, switches, magnetic cores, etc. For each generated design is possible to observe its volume, losses and cost. The components used in the projects must be organized in a database, which allows easy inclusion of new components for the generation of new projects. The system should enable not only the detail view of losses, volume and reduced costs converters projects, but also to display different graphics relating switching frequency ripple of the input current, losses, volume, income and costs. To date a prototype of a computer system was developed, called POCE System (Optimized Project Static Converters), where the design of a power converter is carried from the choice of topology, choice of construction parameters and a of component database. Different algorithms were implemented to search the space of solutions, among them: one of complete scanning and others that use genetic algorithms. The developed prototype allows, initially, that are generated converters topologies PFC Boost, DC/DC Boost and DC/DC Buck. This work also contains some results obtained through the use of the prototype, which was developed in JAVA 8 language and using the PostgreSQL database management system.
