Resumo: The technological advance has given society new ways of relating and access to information. These aspects also influenced the personal and learning relationships of the children, since they have access to various resources and contents available in the network. This made the teaching tasks proposed in the classroom by the teachers were not enough to collaborate in their psychic and intellectual development. This new scenario, which shapes the current society in which these children are inserted, has brought new challenges for teachers, who need to find ways to incorporate digital information and communication technologies (TDIC) into their pedagogical practice. In this context, it is necessary that the teacher proposes study tasks that aim to promote meaningful learning, understanding how the psychic and intellectual development of his students occurs, as well as the reasons that lead them to perform certain tasks. This study is linked to the Research Line "LP-2: Management of Educational Technologies in Network", in the subject Teaching-Learning Mediated by Educational Technologies in Network, Graduate Program in Educational Technologies in Network of the Federal University of Santa Maria. The research had as main objective to understand the psychic and intellectual development in the students of the 5th year of elementary school, from study tasks built in an RPG game. For the actions of the research, the methodology of action research was used; the following instruments were used: field diary, semi-structured interview, record of images, documentary production and participant observation. The subjects of the research were twenty-three students of a group of the 5th grade of the Elementary School, in a school of the Municipal Network of Santa Maria / RS.As results of the actions using the game of RPG associated to the TDIC, it was verified that, during the resolution of the tasks of study, the students realized the movement of reflection, analysis and mental planning. This process resulted in the appropriation of theoretical knowledge, in the learning of new concepts and, consequently, in the psychic and intellectual development. In addition, students have become as subjects of the teaching-learning process as they have become more participatory in the tasks of study and have developed attitudes of respect, cooperation and friendship with colleagues - in the classroom and in the school environment. As a theoretical result of this research, the dissertation was constructed and, as a practical product, the RPG adventure e-book, containing pedagogical guidelines to assist teachers who intend to use it in their pedagogical practices.
