Resumo: The present study had as objective to evaluate the development of the species Bauhinia forficata and Maytenus ilicifolia produced with bioactive inputs based on Trichoderma spp. and bovine vermicompost in order to promote strategies for the production of native seedlings with medicinal potential in the search for sustainable production. We developed the research at the Center for Research in Forests, in the municipality of Santa Maria, RS, the design was randomized blocks with four trials for the species Bauhinia forficata and Maytenus ilicifolia. Different ratios of Trichoderma sp. and bovine vermicompost on the substrate for both species. Dendrometric variables such as total height, soil height, H / DAS ratio, number of leaves, chlorophyll and survival of field seedlings were measured every 30 days after planting, for B. forficata species, such as flowering, fruiting, seed weight germination. The results were submitted to the Tukey test (α = 0.05%), except for the variables H / DAS, number of leaves, chlorophyll and reproductive phenology for B. forficata were analyzed by the Kruskal-Wallis test (α = 0, 05%), and data were also analyzed by degree of similarity. The survival rates were 98.5% for both species. The application of Trichoderma spp. showed better results for T2 and T1, perceived for the number of leaves and chlorophyll for M. ilicifolia species and for B. forficata, the number of leaves, chlorophyll, number of fruits, number of seeds, germination potential . The performance of B. forficata seedlings produced with vermicompost was effective for the number of flowers, seeds and germination, T2 and T4. For the species M. ilicifolia, the vermicompost utilization that most expressed this efficiency were the soil height, H / DAS ratio, chlorophyll. It was highlighted the treatments T5 and T2.
