Resumo: In Brazil, there is a deficit of soybean and grain storage capacity to maintain seed physiological quality and chemical grain quality. Reduction of partial oxygen pressure (O2) and increase of carbon dioxide partial pressure (CO2) could maintain seed physiological potential and soybean grain quality during storage, due to reduced respiration and lipid degradation. The objective of this work was to evaluate the effect of different concentrations of oxygen (O2) and carbon dioxide in controlled atmosphere combined with different temperatures on the maintenance of the physiological potential of seeds and chemical characteristics of soybean grains. In the year 2017, the cultivars Brasmax Desafio RR and TEC IRGA 6070 RR were used. The seeds were kept for seven months under the following conditions [1] environment; [2] 1.0 kPa O2 + 0.04 CO2; [3] 2.0 kPa O2 + 0.04 CO2; [4] 2.0 kPa O2 + 30 CO2; [5] 2.0 kPa O2 + 80 CO2. In 2018 the cultivar NA 5909 RR and Fepagro 37 RR were used. The seeds were kept for 7 months under the following conditions [1] environment; [2] 1.0 kPa O2 + 0.04 CO2; [3] 1.0 kPa O2 + 15 CO2; [4] 1.0 kPa O2 + 30 CO2; [5] 2.0 kPa O2 + 0.04 CO2. In both years the cultivars were stored at temperatures of 20, 25 and 30 ºC. For seed physiological quality evaluation the following parameters were evaluated: germination standard test, sand emergence, field emergence, shoot and root length and dry mass and electrical conductivity. For the chemical quality evaluation, peroxide index, acidity index and volatile compounds of the ground grains were evaluated. The condition of 1.0 kPa O2 maintained higher percentage of germination after seven months of storage, however it is not recommended to use a temperature above 25 ° C during storage. Higher partial pressure of CO2 did not present positive effects on the physiological potential of the seeds of cultivars TEC IRGA 6070 RR, Brasmax Desafio RR and Fepagro 37 RR. At 20 ºC all cultivars reached the minimum germination standard, according to the legislation. The temperature of 25ºC is not recommended for Brasmax Desafio RR storage, regardless of the controlled atmosphere condition. The cultivar NA 5909 RR reached the germination pattern at all temperatures used in the study and the ambient air condition (without controlled atmosphere) is not recommended to store this cultivar at 25 e 30 ºC . The peroxide and acidity indexes were higher in grains stored at ambient air condition, evidencing more deterioration of the oil quality. In addition, the compound trans-2-hexenal showed high correlation with the acid and peroxide indexes, and may be an important marker of lipid oxidation of soybean grains.

A redução da pressão parcial de oxigênio (O2) e aumento da pressão parcial de gás carbônico (CO2), podem reduzir a perda do potencial fisiológico das sementes e a qualidade de grãos de soja durante o armazenamento, devido à redução da respiração e degradação lipídica. O objetivo do trabalho foi avaliar o efeito de concentrações de O2 e CO2 em atmosfera controlada combinado com diferentes temperaturas sobre a manutenção do potencial fisiológico de sementes e características químicas de grãos de soja. No ano de 2017, sementes das cultivares Brasmax Desafio RR e TEC IRGA 6070 RR foram armazenadas durante sete meses nas seguintes condições: [1] ambiente; [2] 1,0 kPa O2 + 0,04 kPa CO2; [3] 2,0 kPa O2 + 0,04 kPa CO2; [4] 2,0 kPa O2 + 30 kPa CO2; [5] 2,0 kPa O2 + 80 kPa CO2. Em 2018 foram utilizadas as cultivares NA 5909 RR e c, cujas sementes foram mantidas durante sete meses nas seguintes condições [1] ambiente; [2] 1,0 kPa O2 + 0,04 kPa CO2; [3] 1,0 kPa O2 + kPa 15 CO2; [4] 1,0 kPa O2 + 30 kPa CO2; [5] 2,0 kPa O2 + 0,04 kPa CO2. Nos dois anos as cultivares foram armazenadas nas temperaturas de 20, 25 e 30 ºC. Para determinar a qualidade fisiológica das sementes os seguintes parâmetros foram avaliados: teste padrão de germinação, emergência entre areia, emergência a campo, comprimento e massa seca da parte aérea e radicular e condutividade elétrica. Para a avaliação da qualidade química foram realizados índice de peróxidos, índice de acidez e compostos voláteis dos grãos moídos. A condição de 1,0 kPa O2 manteve maior porcentagem de germinação após sete meses de armazenamento, não sendo recomendado utilizar temperatura superior a 25 ºC. Em todas as temperaturas o uso de alta pressão parcial de CO2 (15 e 30 kPa) não apresentou efeitos positivos no potencial fisiológico das sementes em todas as cultivares. Na temperatura de 20 ºC todas as cultivares alcançaram o padrão mínimo de germinação exigido pela legislação, quando armazenadas em atmosfera controlada. A temperatura de 25 ºC não é recomendada para o armazenamento da cultivar Brasmax Desafio RR, independente da condição de atmosfera controlada. A cultivar NA 5909 RR atende o padrão de germinação em todas as temperaturas utilizadas no estudo e a condição ar ambiente (sem controle da atmosfera) não é recomendada para armazenar essa cultivar na temperatura de 25 e 30 ºC. Os índices de peróxidos e de acidez foram maiores nos grãos armazenados na condição ar ambiente, evidenciando maior deterioração da qualidade do óleo. Além disso, o composto trans-2-hexenal apresentou correlação com o índice de acidez e peróxidos, podendo ser um importante marcador da oxidação lipídica de grãos de soja.porUniversidade Federal de Santa MariaCentro de Ciências RuraisPrograma de Pós-Graduação em AgronomiaUFSMBrasilAgronomiaAttribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivatives 4.0 Internationalhttp://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/4.0/info:eu-repo/semantics/openAccessGerminaçãoPotencial de armazenamentoManutenção da qualidadeGerminationStorage potentialQuality maintenanceCNPQ::CIENCIAS AGRARIAS::AGRONOMIAAtmosfera controlada e temperatura de armazenamento na qualidade fisiológica e química de sementes e grãos de sojaPhysiological and chemical quality of soybean seeds merril stored in controlled atmosphere submitted at different temperaturesinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersioninfo:eu-repo/semantics/masterThesisBrackmann, Aurihttp://lattes.cnpq.br/1305840929832646Nunes, Ubirajara Russihttp://lattes.cnpq.br/8937125213120268Both, Vanderleihttp://lattes.cnpq.br/7025063171663786Costa, Liege Camargo dahttp://lattes.cnpq.br/7269336093818988http://lattes.cnpq.br/3524678622241796Ludwig, Vagner500100000009600138ff5d6-1221-4258-86cc-aca3d85828a33b443b3c-4516-4f67-96c4-f5913f64e10b4d1027ae-7af6-4468-b247-025c5258288251cfba83-82b0-4294-a294-3f11869867e0155cc35b-afd9-40b2-b620-62dbf258ff36reponame:Biblioteca Digital de Teses e Dissertações do UFSMinstname:Universidade Federal de Santa Maria (UFSM)instacron:UFSMORIGINALDIS_PPGAGRONOMIA_2019_LUDWIG_VAGNER.pdfDIS_PPGAGRONOMIA_2019_LUDWIG_VAGNER.pdfDissertação de Mestradoapplication/pdf1602729http://repositorio.ufsm.br/bitstream/1/19700/1/DIS_PPGAGRONOMIA_2019_LUDWIG_VAGNER.pdf3e8ce4fa8cd213bf6735e6302a7d921bMD51CC-LICENSElicense_rdflicense_rdfapplication/rdf+xml;
