Resumo: Waste recycling represents an innovative approach among developing countries that does not address the practice of collecting recyclable materials. The indicators of consumption of alcoholic beverages are exposed to chemical, physical and biological risks and are focused on the care, prevention and rehabilitation of individual and collective health. The objective of this project was to make the catheters of recyclable materials a proposal of health technology to meet their health needs. This is a descriptive field study with a qualitative approach, with an adaptation of the Methodology of Problematization with the Arch of Maguerez. One source was based on an association of collectors of recyclable raw materials of the municipality of Santa Maria, in Rio Grande do Sul and was carried out with 17 collectors. The instructions were applied as observation techniques with records in field days and focus groups, following as steps of the Arch of Maguerez. Analysis and content analysis of Bardin. The results were organized according to the steps of the Arch of Maguerez: in the phase of consulting the reality, being possible to know the scenario and the performance in the activities by the collectors, as main health needs: psychobiological, psychosocial, psycho-spiritual, rethinking a problematic. From this, the key points for the major problems, the alarm clocks for the health work environment, the technologies in the perception of the collectors, the technologies and the health needs were listed. In the theorizing, it was the moment in which the information was analyzed, seeking explanations about the reality and the perspective of the key points, allowing some conclusions that enabled a next stage. The hypotheses for solution were related to the activities that the collectors performed in relation to the use of PPE, in their first aid sessions and during feeding. In application to reality, with the purpose of transforming the context, it was presented as a proposal for information technology, an information process, a data presentation process and months of the year, possible information on the use of PPE, examples of The flow of care for first aid. The questions and the focus groups were put together for a dialogical solution to solve the problems in the collectors' universe, in addition, this research is a foundation for the health professionals, since it allows a visualization to the collectors. Nursing is concluded, as it is part of the health plan, and seeks to trigger policies for the science and art of making, listening and creating health strategies aimed at this public.
