Resumo: This research aims to present and analyze the concepts of Alterity and Reciprocity, as discussed in Simone de Beauvoir's philosophy, highlighting the works The Second Sex and For a Morality of Ambiguity. We will see the philosophical implications of the terms Alterity and Reciprocity to understand the situation of subjugation of women in human history and in the elaboration of an Existentialist Ethics that supports a project for the liberation of women defended by the philosopher. In The Second Sex, Simone de Beauvoir seeks to understand what Being a Woman is and seeks to identify the reasons that led to the establishment of a hierarchy of power in human societies, where women are oppressed by men and seen as inferior To men, women are like an "Other" in a negative sense, for which reciprocity is not recognized. The duality of the relationship between me and the Other is something that accompanies human history, but alterity carries the possibility of reciprocity. However, this reciprocity for Women is not recognized. Beauvoir argues that the subordination of women is a historical event, it is not only due to biological issues, but it has roots in the human subject's ontological condition in the world and its choices in relation to what society and culture offer. With the affirmation of patriarchy at a certain historical moment, man becomes the center of reference for defining what the human species should be, while the woman is classified as alterity in a negative sense compared to the male figure, this was chosen by men and had no justification in nature or in any supposed divine truth or "human essence." We will see how Beauvoir interprets the situation of women, dialoguing with different currents of thought: from Sociology / Anthropology, Psychoanalysis, Dialectical Historical Materialism, and the Existentialism itself of which the philosopher was an exponent. A historical account by Beauvoir in The Second Sex is presented to illustrate the analysis carried out, denouncing the oppression against women. Following the observations on historiographic data, we will see the proposal for an Existentialist Ethics based on the recognition of ambiguity in human life, highlighting freedom and aiming to achieve reciprocity. The Existentialist Ethics defended by Beauvoir culminates in a project of liberation for women that is connected to a concern for the realization of equality in the human collectivity, in an attempt to approximate the ideals of Marxist Socialism and Existentialism.

Veremos as implicações filosóficas dos termos Alteridade e Reciprocidade para a compreensão da situação de subjugação da mulher na história humana e na elaboração de uma Ética Existencialista, a qual embasa um projeto de libertação das mulheres defendido pela filósofa. Em O Segundo Sexo (1949), Simone de Beauvoir busca compreender o que é Ser Mulher e procura identificar os motivos que levaram ao estabelecimento de uma hierarquia de poder nas sociedades humanas, nas quais as mulheres são oprimidas pelos homens e vistas como inferiores. Em relação ao homem, a mulher é como um “Outro” em sentido negativo, para o qual não se reconhece Reciprocidade. A dualidade da relação eu e o Outro é algo que acompanha a história humana, mas a Alteridade carrega a possibilidade da Reciprocidade, no entanto essa reciprocidade para a Mulher não é reconhecida. Beauvoir defende que a subordinação da mulher é um evento histórico, não se deve apenas a questões de ordem biológica, mas tem raízes na própria condição ontológica do sujeito humano no mundo e suas escolhas em relação ao que a sociedade e cultura oferecem. Com a afirmação do patriarcado em um determinado momento histórico, o homem torna-se o centro de referência para se definir o que a espécie humana deve ser, enquanto a mulher é classificada como uma alteridade em sentido negativo diante da figura masculina, isso foi uma escolha por parte dos homens e não tem justificativa na natureza ou em nenhuma suposta verdade divina ou “essência humana”. Veremos como Beauvoir interpreta a situação da mulher, dialogando com diferentes correntes de pensamento: da Sociologia/Antropologia, Psicanálise, o Materialismo Histórico Dialético e o próprio Existencialismo, do qual a filósofa foi uma expoente. Um relato histórico realizado por Beauvoir em O Segundo Sexo é apresentado para ilustrar a análise realizada, denunciando a opressão contra a mulher. Seguindo as observações sobre dados historiográficos, veremos a proposta de uma Ética Existencialista com base no reconhecimento da ambiguidade na vida humana, destacando a liberdade e visando alcançar a reciprocidade. A Ética Existencialista defendida por Beauvoir culmina em um projeto de libertação para as mulheres que está conectado a uma preocupação de realização de igualdade na coletividade humana, em uma tentativa de aproximação entre os ideais do Socialismo Marxista e o Existencialismo.Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior - CAPESporUniversidade Federal de Santa MariaCentro de Ciências Sociais e HumanasPrograma de Pós-Graduação em FilosofiaUFSMBrasilFilosofiaAttribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivatives 4.0 Internationalhttp://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/4.0/info:eu-repo/semantics/openAccessAlteridadeReciprocidadeMoral da ambiguidadeBeauvoirExistencialismoLiberdadeMulherFeminismoÉticaAlterityReciprocityMorality of ambiguityBeauvoirExistentialismFreedomWomanFeminismEthicCNPQ::CIENCIAS HUMANAS::FILOSOFIAAlteridade e reciprocidade no pensamento existencialista de Simone de Beauvoir e o projeto de libertação das mulheresAlterity and reciprocity in Simone de Beauvoir's existentialist philosophy and the women's liberation projectinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersioninfo:eu-repo/semantics/masterThesisMissaggia, Juliana Oliveirahttp://lattes.cnpq.br/0477980802909030Grzibowski, SilvestrePereira, Gilmara Coutinhohttp://lattes.cnpq.br/1362668935247392Felden, Patrícia700100000004600600600600600692c20b0-6885-46e8-aceb-9856a5ede32de87c311b-ce7a-45ae-b36f-b3033ab6c7b68e0d2b73-7596-4007-a4e7-cbcd75aaed306e25f661-46c8-4260-b707-24b6143bc8bcreponame:Biblioteca Digital de Teses e Dissertações do UFSMinstname:Universidade Federal de Santa Maria (UFSM)instacron:UFSMLICENSElicense.txtlicense.txttext/plain;
