Resumo: | The present work presents the configuration of a thermoelectric plant operating at a Brayton-Rankine power generation cycle. An exploratory study of the working fluids for use in the Organic Rankine Cycle (ORC) was conducted for the most appropriate. In order to measure the main causes of irreversibility in the proposed cycle, an exergetic analysis was carried out at the level of the process and the components of the cycle according to the concept of exergy based on 1a e 2a law of thermodynamics. There was a temperature variation in the steam turbine, where the purpose of these changes is to increase overall efficiency. The numerical simulations were performed using the software Engineerring Equation Solver (EES) , where the R123, R600, n-pentane, n-heptane, isopentane, and n-octane fluids were analyzed, thus carrying out a comparative analysis of the first law (energy efficiency) and second law (energy efficiency). The data obtained and the curves for each configuration were plotted considering the amount of the evaporator for the Organic Rankine cycle, where temperature variations between 370 K and 430 K in the evaporator were considered for plotting the graphs. |
