Resumo: This work presents a methodology that aims to provide technical-scientific support to expedite the decision-making regarding the actions of predictive maintenance reinforcements, renewal of power transformers, and extensions of the substation and its connections, propitiating a greater assertiveness of the investments by the concessionaires. The method is organized in three phases, which are subdivided into steps that constitute the activities to be performed. The first phase includes the use of the Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA) methodology applied to the transformer components, which is intended to define and identify potential system failures, as well as to provide values that will be used to determine the failure rate parameters In the next phase. The second phase corresponds to the use of FMEA applied to the transformer equipment, involving the evaluation of the impact of the loss to the electrical system. The last phase consists of a comparative analysis between the results obtained in the previous phases, with the aim of punctuating and ranking the transformers by their risk value for the system, in order to make possible the optimization of a maintenance schedule. O método está organizado em três fases, as quais são subdivididas em etapas que constituem as atividades a serem realizadas. A primeira fase contempla o uso da metodologia Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA) aplicada aos componentes do transformador, que tem o intuito de definir e identificar falhas potenciais do sistema, além de fornecer valores que serão utilizados para determinação dos parâmetros de taxa de falha na fase seguinte. A segunda fase corresponde ao uso da FMEA aplicada ao equipamento transformador, envolvendo a avaliação do impacto da perda deste para o sistema elétrico. A última fase consiste na análise comparativa entre os resultados obtidos nas fases anteriores, com o objetivo de pontuar e ranquear os transformadores pelo seu valor de risco para o sistema, a fim de viabilizar a otimização de um cronograma de manutenção.
