Resumo: The generation from residues of civil construction brings serious implications for society and the environment. Ahead of this, have sought alternative to the use of such residues in engineering with a view to contributing to the easing sustainability impacts caused by the generation of these residues. The objective of this work is to study the application of the residues of civil construction in bored piles. In this work are conducted in laboratory testing and test load in the piles to evaluate the behavior of the piles to the compression being excavated and executed they in the Experimental testing site of Geotechnical Engineering at UFSM (CEEG/UFSM). The results of the laboratory tests had characterized the behavior of residues as sand and the test from the cylindrical specimens (5x10cm) and prismatic (4x4x16cm) achieved satisfactory results for the use of the material in foundations. Load tests were carried out on three piles excavated with diameter of 25 cm and 3m of depth, being one of them with the addition of small stones. Through the load tests it was determined the loaddisplacement curve and were applied methods to estimate the rupture load. Were also adopted the methods of prediction of load capacity, through the parameters obtained by standard penetration test (SPT), to estimate the rupture load. According to its reached results, it is concluded that the ceramic residues of civil construction are a new alternative for foundations that demand low support capacity. However, since it is an initial study, the accomplishment of more research is necessary to this material is applied in foundations of safe form, responsible and trustworthy.

Diante disso, têm-se buscado alternativas para o uso desses resíduos na engenharia com intuito de contribuir para a sustentabilidade, amenizando os impactos causados pela geração desses resíduos. O objetivo deste trabalho é estudar a aplicação dos resíduos de construção civil em estacas moldadas in loco. Neste trabalho, são realizados ensaios de laboratório e prova de carga nas estacas para avaliar o comportamento das estacas a compressão, sendo elas escavadas e executadas no Campo Experimental em Engenharia Geotécnica da UFSM (CEEG/UFSM). Os resultados dos ensaios de laboratório caracterizaram os resíduos como comportamento de areia e as rupturas dos corpos de prova cilíndricos (5x10cm) e prismáticos (4x4x16cm) obtiveram resultados satisfatórios para o uso do material em fundações. As provas de carga foram realizadas em três estacas escavadas com diâmetro de 25 cm e 3m de profundidade, sendo uma delas com o acréscimo de pedrisco. Através das provas de carga determinou-se a curva carga x recalque e foram aplicados métodos para determinação da carga de ruptura. Também foram adotados os métodos de previsão da capacidade de carga, através dos parâmetros obtidos por meio de sondagens de simples reconhecimento (SPT), para estimar a carga de ruptura. De acordo com os resultados alcançados, conclui-se que os resíduos de construção civil cerâmicos são uma nova alternativa para fundações que exijam baixa capacidade de suporte.
