Resumo: The aim of this work was to study the mini-cutting rooting and to develop selection strategies of cordia (Cordia trichotoma) for asexual propagation by mini-cuttings. The effects of substrate, IBA concentration, mini-cutting size and time of year were evaluated in the capability of mini-cuttings adventitious rooting. Two experiments were carried out to evaluate the effect of four substrate compositions (commercial substrate, coarse sand and vermiculite, pure commercial substrate, commercial substrate, charcoal rice husk and sand, commercial substrate and vermiculite) and five concentrations (0; 1,500; 3,000; 4,500 or 6,000 mg L-1) of AIB in the rooting of single-bud mini-cuttings. Two experiments were carried out to evaluate the effect of size (smaller than 5 cm, between 5.1 and 10.0 cm, between 10.1 and 15.0 cm and bigger than 15.1 cm) and the same concentrations of IBA in the apical mini-cuttings rooting. Another experiment was carried out to evaluate the effect of the time of the year in the apical mini-cuttings rooting. In order to define an early selection strategies and to identify cordia clones with adventitious rooting capability, apical mini-cuttings were collected in one mini-stump of 30 clones and four mini-stumps of 19 clones. The number of mini-cuttings per mini-stump, the rooting percentage and the number of rooted mini-cutings per mini-stump were recorded. The substrate composition did not affect mini-cuttings rooting. Apical mini-cuttings up to 10 cm in length treated with 3,000 mg L-1 of AIB presented the greatest rooting capability, especially when collected during the summer season. Mini-cuttings size affects rooting potential and apical mini-cuttings are more responsive to adventitious rooting than single-bud ones. Cordia clones were identified based upon two strategies, being selected four and nine from 30 evaluated in one mini-stump, and three and seven from 19 clones evaluated in four mini-stumps. The selection gains were high (between 67.2 and 142.3%), both for rooting percentage and number of rooted mini-cuttings. Early selection is an efficient breeding strategy for adventitious rooting capability, and can be applied in one evaluated mini-stump per clone.

Foram avaliados os efeitos do substrato, da concentração de AIB, do tamanho das miniestacas e da época do ano no enraizamento adventício. Dois experimentos foram conduzidos para avaliar o efeito de quatro composições de substrato (substrato comercial, areia grossa e vermiculita; substrato comercial puro; substrato comercial, casca de arroz carbonizada e areia; substrato comercial e vermiculita) e cinco concentrações de AIB (0, 1.500, 3.000, 4.500 ou 6.000 mg L-1) no enraizamento de miniestacas de gema única. Dois experimentos foram conduzidos para avaliar o efeito do tamanho (menores do que 5 cm, de 5,1 a 10,0 cm, de 10,1 a 15,0 cm e maiores do que 15,1 cm) e das mesmas concentrações de AIB no enraizamento de miniestacas apicais. Outro experimento foi conduzido para avaliar o efeito da época do ano no enraizamento de miniestacas apicais. Para definir estratégias de seleção precoce e identificar clones de louro-pardo com competência ao enraizamento foram realizadas coletas de miniestacas apicais de 30 clones em uma minicepa por clone e de 19 clones em quatro minicepas por clone. Foram quantificados o número de miniestacas por minicepa, a porcentagem de enraizamento e o número de miniestacas enraizadas por minicepa. A composição do substrato não afetou o enraizamento das miniestacas. Miniestacas apicais com até 10 cm de comprimento tratadas com 3.000 mg L-1 de AIB apresentaram a maior competência ao enraizamento, principalmente quando coletadas durante os meses de verão. O tamanho de miniestaca afeta o potencial de enraizamento e miniestacas apicais são mais responsivas ao enraizamento adventício do que miniestacas de gema única. Os melhores clones foram identificados com base em duas estratégias, sendo selecionados quatro e nove dos 30 avaliados em uma minicepa, e três e sete dos 19 avaliados em quatro minicepas. Os ganhos de seleção foram altos (entre 67,2 a 142,3%), tanto para porcentagem de enraizamento, quanto para o número de miniestacas enraizadas. A seleção precoce é uma estratégia eficiente de melhoramento para o enraizamento adventício, podendo ser realizada a partir de uma minicepa por clone de louro-pardo.Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior - CAPESporUniversidade Federal de Santa MariaCentro de Ciências RuraisPrograma de Pós-Graduação em Engenharia FlorestalUFSMBrasilRecursos Florestais e Engenharia FlorestalAttribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivatives 4.0 Internationalhttp://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/4.0/info:eu-repo/semantics/openAccessEnraizamento adventícioSeleção precoceMelhoramentoBreedingAdventitious rootingEarly selectionClonal propagationCNPQ::CIENCIAS AGRARIAS::RECURSOS FLORESTAIS E ENGENHARIA FLORESTALEnraizamento de miniestacas e seleção de Cordia trichotoma (Vellozo) Arrabida ex Steudel para a propagação por miniestaquiaMini-cuttings rooting and selection of Cordia trichotoma (Vellozo) Arrabida ex Steudel for asexual propagation by mini-cuttingsinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersioninfo:eu-repo/semantics/masterThesisBisognin, Dilson Antôniohttp://lattes.cnpq.br/7298261913496737Gasparini, Ezequielhttp://lattes.cnpq.br/5767653138092831http://lattes.cnpq.br/1319061478349147Somavilla, Tamires Manfio500200000003600e6bf95b7-0734-4760-a7af-f141d82b8525594065ef-e2f4-4a86-bc56-0fca955040fccaad3113-7c08-495e-9491-c540eefb1811reponame:Biblioteca Digital de Teses e Dissertações do UFSMinstname:Universidade Federal de Santa Maria (UFSM)instacron:UFSMORIGINALDIS_PPGEF_2018_SOMAVILLA_TAMIRES.pdfDIS_PPGEF_2018_SOMAVILLA_TAMIRES.pdfDissertação de Mestradoapplication/pdf1283355http://repositorio.ufsm.br/bitstream/1/14200/1/DIS_PPGEF_2018_SOMAVILLA_TAMIRES.pdfb15bb03fa0f09a60282ee9193fc1a36fMD51CC-LICENSElicense_rdflicense_rdfapplication/rdf+xml;
