Resumo: Sjögren's syndrome is a systemic inflammatory autoimmune disease with worldwide distribution, responsible for considerable impact on the patient's quality of life. The aim of this article is to describe its main symptoms, the currently used different diagnostic criteria and the available treatment for the syndrome.
