Ingesta alimentar e condições socioeconômicas da Seleção Masculina de Judô do Piauí

Resumo: | Judo athletes are prone to diversities of physiological and metabolic changes, as well as adaptations in their body. The aim of this study was to evaluate the dietary intake, food quality and socioeconomic conditions of the Piau Men's Judo Team. The sample of this study was 05 (five), who accepted to participate in the research of a total population of 07 (seven) athletes, aged between 22 and 35 years. This study addresses the ethical aspects of resolution 466/12 (CAAE 51503715.0.0000). The participants of the research answered a semi-quantitative food frequency questionnaire, using the Food Composition Table (TACO, 2011) and socioeconomic (IBGE, Census 2010) evaluated by the "Brazil Economic Classification Criteria" for social stratification. Results: Athletes present inadequate food intake, irregular macronutrient consumption, low carbohydrate eating pattern, high lipid dietary pattern and adequate dietary protein standard; Low magnesium and potassium food standard and high intake of calcium and iron, which may alter physical performance and increase the risk of developing nutritional diseases. The athletes in the study are among socioeconomic classes B1 and B2. It is concluded that athletes present inadequate food intake for sports practice, both macro and micronutrients; When correlating the socioeconomic profile with a dietary profile, it can be noted that socioeconomic conditions do not interfere in the athlete eating habits. The difficulty of maintaining a healthy eating pattern may be associated with misconceptions or lack of knowledge about nutritional needs that are ideal for their sporting modality and practice. |

O objetivo deste trabalho foi avaliar a ingestão alimentar, qualidade da alimentação e as condições socioeconômicas da Seleção Masculina de Judô do Piauí. A amostra deste estudo é de 05 (cinco), que aceitaram participar da pesquisa de uma população total de 07 (sete) atletas, com idades entre 22 a 35 anos. Este estudo atende os aspectos éticos da resolução 466/12 (CAAE 51503715.0.0000). Os participantes da pesquisa, responderam questionário semiquantitativo de frequência alimentar, utilizando para avaliação a Tabela de composição dos alimentos (TACO, 2011) e socioeconômico (IBGE, Censo 2010) avaliado pelo “Critério de Classificação Econômica Brasil” para estratificação social. Resultados: Os atletas apresentam ingestão alimentar inadequadas, consumo irregular de macronutrientes, baixo padrão alimentar de carboidratos, elevado padrão alimentar de lipídios e adequado padrão alimentar de proteínas; baixo padrão alimentar de magnésio e potássio e elevado ingestão de cálcio e ferro, podendo alterar o desempenho físico e aumentar o risco de desenvolvimento de doenças nutricionais. Os atletas do estudo estão entre as classes socioeconômicas B1 e B2. Conclui-se que os atletas apresentam ingestão alimentar inadequada para a prática esportiva, tanto de macro e micronutrientes; Quando correlacionado o perfil socioeconômico com perfil dietético, nota-se que as condições socioeconômicas pouco interferem nas condutas alimentares dos atletas.
