Resumo: The objective of this article is to problematize a fact that happened in the city Araguaína-TO and analyze from the perspective of discursive semiotics the intentionalities present in its circulation. It is made the analysis of the different statements of broadcast in news portals of Araguaína. These portals convey news that suggests doubts about their practices, and the position presented as unbiased is questionable. The act of production of the statement reveals intentionality, meaning effects created by means of linguistic mechanisms. The empirical object for this analysis will be the journalistic material that produced a news about an act of aggression committed by a former student to the director of the College Guilherme Golden in 2017. The semiotics will contributed to understanding the meanings generated by the journalistic statement.

É feita a análise dos diferentes enunciados do acontecimento veiculado em portais de notícias de Araguaína. Esses portais veiculam notícias que sugerem dúvidas quanto às suas práticas, sendo questionável a posição apresentada como imparcial. O ato de produção do enunciado revela intencionalidades, efeitos de sentido criados por meio de mecanismos linguísticos. O objeto empírico para essa análise será o material jornalístico que produziu uma notícia sobre um ato de agressão cometido por um ex-aluno ao diretor do Colégio Guilherme Dourado no ano de 2017.
