Identity and Region in "Quadras ao Roraimeira"

This article has as main purpose present a part of Rodrigo de Oliveira’s cordel literature production through a critical analysis of the cordel “Quadras ao Roraimeira” (2010). We will try to articulate some style characteristics  with an idea of a roraimense identity built through of the aforementioned cordel. Therefore, we will utilize the beliefs of Bourdieu (2012) about symbolic representations in the formation of regional identities and legitimized territory, besides the conception of identity worked by Hall (2006), whom considers the identities outcomes, among others factors, of influences, of negotiations and of differences.
