Resumo: This article reflects on the power of poetry from philosophical reflections made by Plato, Aristotle, Augustine, Nietzsche, Heidegger, Freud, Adorno, Benjamin, Deleuze and Guattari, Lipovetsky and Serroy and literary critic made by Octavio Paz, Antonio Cicero and Benedito Nunes. Poetry, as addressed and understood by philosophers, has a range of possibilities that cover from the capacity of celebration and evergreening of man as his identification as mankind and resistance before the administered world.
