Resumo: | This article presents reflections about the new curricular guidelines for portuguese language teaching in basic education. In a qualitative approach and a theoretical foundation in discursive semiotics, this study porposes considerations about argumentative process of enunciator-writer in the Base Nacional Comum Curricular text for the Elementary School and the incorporation of semiotics in linguistic social practices. Afterward, its investigates how the new guidelines can be understood by teachers of basic education, most importantly, with regard to the presence of semiotics, from the analysis of a teacher interview from the Public Education of the state of Mato Grosso do Sul, Brazil. |

Numa abordagem qualitativa e com o embasamento teórico da semiótica discursiva, realiza considerações sobre o movimento argumentativo do enunciador-destinador do texto da Base Nacional Comum Curricular para o Ensino Fundamental e a inserção da semiótica nas práticas de linguagem.
