Resumo: This article proposes a reading of “Bialystok, a jornada”, by Bernardo Kucinski (2021), considering some effects of Nazi totalitarianism: the destruction of human plurality, the refusal of a place in the world for the victims and the erasure of their memory. The analysis also discusses the subsequent need for (im)possible testimony, as well as the intertextual relationships between this tale and other narratives by both the writer and his father, Meir Kucinski (2002). Some theoretical foundations on memory and oblivion of the horror of the concentration camps are sought in Arendt (1999, 2012, 2019), Agamben (2004, 2008, 2010) and Seligmann-Silva (2003), among others.

Universidade Federal do Norte do Tocantins2023-10-15info:eu-repo/semantics/articleinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersionapplication/pdfhttps://sistemas.uft.edu.br/periodicos/index.php/entreletras/article/view/1604810.20873/uft2179-3948.2023v14n2p91-109EntreLetras; v. 14 n. 2 (2023): TESTEMUNHOS DO PRESENTE: VÍNCULOS ENTRE ÉTICA E ESTÉTICA; 91 - 1092179-3948reponame:EntreLetrasinstname:Universidade Federal do Tocantins (UFT)instacron:UFTporhttps://sistemas.uft.edu.br/periodicos/index.php/entreletras/article/view/16048/21639Copyright (c) 2023 EntreLetrashttp://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0info:eu-repo/semantics/openAccessDadalto, WeversonMartinelli Filho, Nelson2023-10-16T21:15:14Zoai:ojs.revista.uft.edu.br:article/16048Revistahttps://sistemas.uft.edu.br/periodicos/index.php/entreletras/indexPUBhttps://sistemas.uft.edu.br/periodicos/index.php/entreletras/oai||luiza.to@uft.edu.br|| revista@uft.edu.br2179-39482178-9479opendoar:2023-10-16T21:15:14EntreLetras - Universidade Federal do Tocantins (UFT)false
