Resumo: In “O recado do morro” (1956), Rosa invites the reader to the regime of planting and harvesting under a sharecropping farming work (“a-meia” or “tutaméia”), according to the metapoetic protocol projected upon Pedro Orósio: “he worked unfettered, sharing the cultivation of his small tillage”. The narrative brings forth a fragmentary message that avoids unambiguous revelation, preserving its condition of mystery accessible only under a poetic experience. Thus, we seek for intellectual articulations between landscape, literature and spirituality, based on Rosa's statement, quoted by Haroldo de Campos: “people say that I'm just painting a scene from the interior of Minas Gerais and I'm making a kind of ecumenical omelet”.
