Resumo: | The article has as its main objective a reading exercise in the form of a literary workshop, at the high school level, of basic education. Thus, the desire is an approximation of the student to the universe of creation of Guimarães Rosa, sometimes considered as a hermetic author and, because of this characteristic, is still little explored at this stage of teaching. For this, the corpus chosen was the short story "Desenredo" and the methodology developed was the rescue of certain types of reading as well as the execution of activities a little beyond questions of textual understanding/interpretation. Therefore, the expected results, after the development and, consequently, the conclusion of such activities, reverberate in an analysis of the relevance of the “Rosean” writing present in textbooks and how this printed resource can be used as a complementary tool with regard to the construction of a literary approach. Assim, almeja-se uma aproximação do discente para com o universo de criação de Guimarães Rosa, por vezes, considerado como um autor hermético e, por conta dessa característica, ainda pouco explorado nessa etapa do ensino. Para isso, o corpus escolhido foi o conto Desenredo e a metodologia desenvolvida deu-se em torno do resgate de alguns tipos de leitura bem como execução de atividades um pouco além de questões de compreensão/interpretação textual.
