SCHOOL WRITING: A COMMON TEXTUAL TYPOLOGY OR A TOTAL TEXTUAL DISCURSIVE GENDER?

Resumo: In this essay, of an essayistic nature, we problematize references to school composition as a mere type of text. Our objective is to question why not, without fear, assume it as a full textual genre, even considering the criticisms of this coercive practice in the environment where it circulates. The discussion undertaken here, from the perspective of the applied linguist, highlights some positions of language scholars and researchers of the mother tongue teaching, as well as theoretically dialogues with categories of two discursive strands, the Bakhtinian (responsiveness) and the Pecheutian (subject-position and interdiscurse), observing the boundary of each scope, in order to displace definitions that no longer respond to the functioning of this type of communication, that is, the one mediated by the school composition.

Nosso objetivo é questionar por que não a assumir, sem receios, como um gênero textual pleno, mesmo considerando as críticas a essa prática coercitiva no ambiente onde circula.
