Resumo: ABSTRACT. The research aimed to characterize the challenges of family and teachers during the educational practice carried out in the teaching and learning process in secondary schools in the urban and rural areas in Huila, Angola. The reason for the investigation lies in the fact that there are no studies that make reference to this theme in the educational context of Angola. This is a case study investigation of qualitative, descriptive and interpretative character, which analyzes a real situation in its real context. It had an intentional sample of 24 participants. The in-depth interviewing and content analysis were used to collect process and interpret the information. The results show many difficulties in the educational process, such as: predominance of traditional teaching methods, more precarious school network in the rural area, excessive number of students per class making it difficult to evaluate, mostly illiterate families and with unsatisfactory involvement in the educational process, deficient punctuality of the actors, there is not uniformity in teaching affecting the quality of teaching. Therefore, to improve the quality of educational practice it is essential to invest in the training of actors, build, equip schools and confer good participatory management.

La investigación tuvo como objetivo caracterizar los retos de la familia y los profesores durante la práctica educativa llevada a cabo en el proceso de enseñanza y aprendizaje en escuelas secundarias de las zonas urbanas y rurales de Huila, Angola. La realización de esta investigación se justifica por el hecho de que no hay estudios que aborden este tema en el contexto educativo de Angola. Se trata de un estudio de caso de investigación de carácter cualitativo, descriptivo e interpretativo, que analiza una situación real en su contexto real. Tenía una muestra intencional de 24 participantes. Se utilizaron entrevistas en profundidad y análisis de contenido para recopilar, procesar e interpretar la información. Los resultados muestran muchas dificultades en el proceso educativo, tales como: predominio de los métodos de enseñanza tradicionales, red escolar más precaria en el área rural, número excesivo de estudiantes por clase que dificulta la evaluación, en su mayoría familias analfabetas y con una participación insatisfactoria en el proceso educativo, puntualidad deficiente de los actores, no hay uniformidad en la enseñanza que afectan a la calidad de la enseñanza. Así que para mejorar la calidad de las prácticas educativas es esencial invertir en la formación de los actores, construir, equipar las escuelas y conferir una buena gestión participativa.ABSTRACT. Therefore, to improve the quality of educational practice it is essential to invest in the training of actors, build, equip schools and confer good participatory management.A pesquisa visou caracterizar os desafios da família e professores durante a prática educativa realizada no processo de ensino e aprendizagem em escolas secundárias da área urbana e rural em Huila, Angola. A realização desta pesquisa justifica-se pelo fato de não existirem trabalhos que versam sobre essa temática no contexto educativo de Angola. Esta é uma investigação de estudo de caso de natureza qualitativa, caráter descritivo e interpretativo, que analisa uma situação real no seu contexto real. A mesma teve uma amostra intencional de 24 participantes. Para a recolha, tratamento e interpretação da informação utilizou-se a entrevista em profundidade e a análise de conteúdo. Os resultados evidenciam mais dificuldades no processo educativo realizado na escola rural em relação à urbana tais como: a maioria das famílias é analfabeta, pobre e não participa nem valoriza o processo de ensino e aprendizagem. A rede escolar é mais precária, pois não possui água, energia, internet, nem estradas de acesso para comunidades do interior, além de deficiente pontualidade e assiduidade dos professores percorrendo 400 quilômetros para chegar à escola. Existe convergência entre as escolas rural e urbana, pois todas possuem alguns docentes sem formação inicial, excessivo número de alunos por turma dificultando na avaliação. Em função disso, não existe uniformidade no ensino entre a escola rural e a urbana afetando deste modo à qualidade de ensino. Portanto, para melhorar a qualidade da prática educativa é essencial o envolvimento de todos, investir na formação dos atores, construir, apetrechar as escolas e conferi-las uma gestão participativa.
