Relationships between knowledge in Education for Rural Areas: the UFVJM experience

Resumo: -ABSTRACT. The construction of conditions for the establishment of relationships between different knowledge is one of the pillars of the ideal of Education for Rural Areas. The work discusses how this panorama was expressed in the experience of the degree course of Education for Rural Areas from the Federal University of Jequitinhonha and Mucuri Valleys. The result of a case study, built from a cross-sectional approach, of a descriptive nature, with qualitative data treatment, is presented. The focus is directed to the discussion around four dynamics present in the course: Community Time Meeting, Cultural Night, Mystics and Projects coordinated by teachers. From the presentation of these experiences, reflections are outlined structured in three argumentative axes: the place of science in the relations between knowledge; the relationships between knowledge as encounters of ways of life; the counterpoint between “contextualization” and “perspective” in the relations between knowledge. Concluding that the relations between social groups define conditions for the establishment of relations between knowledge, the results of the work point out the imperative to collaborate with the creation of a new knowledge economy more just and appropriate for rural populations.

El trabajo discute cómo este panorama se expresó en la experiencia del grado en Educación para Áreas Rurales de la Universidad Federal de los Valles Jequitinhonha y Mucuri. Se presenta el resultado de un estudio de caso, construido a partir de un enfoque transversal, de naturaleza descriptiva, con tratamiento de datos cualitativo. El enfoque se dirige a la discusión en torno a cuatro dinámicas presentes en el curso: Reunión de Tiempo Comunitario, Noche Cultural, Místicas y Proyectos coordinados por maestros. A partir de la presentación de estas experiencias, las reflexiones se delinean estructuradas en tres ejes argumentativos: el lugar de la ciencia en las relaciones entre conocimientos; las relaciones entre conocimientos como encuentros de formas de vida; el contrapunto entre "contextualización" y "perspectivación" en las relaciones entre conocimientos. Concluyendo que las relaciones entre los grupos sociales definen las condiciones para el establecimiento de relaciones entre saberes, los resultados del trabajo señalan el imperativo de colaborar con la creación de una nueva economía del conocimiento más justa y adecuada para las poblaciones rurales. Neste trabalho discutiu-se como este panorama se expressou na experiência do curso de graduação em Educação do Campo, na modalidade licenciatura, da Universidade Federal dos Vales do Jequitinhonha e Mucuri. Apresentou-se o resultado de um estudo de caso, construído a partir de abordagem transversal, de natureza descritiva, com tratamento qualitativo dos dados. O foco esteve dirigido para a discussão em torno de quatro dinâmicas presentes no curso: Encontro de Tempo Comunidade, Noite Cultural, Místicas e Projetos coordenados por docentes. A partir da apresentação destas experiências delineou-se reflexões estruturadas em três eixos argumentativos: o lugar da ciência nas relações entre saberes; as relações entre saberes enquanto encontros de modos de vida; o contraponto entre “contextualização” e “perspectivação” nas relações entre saberes. Concluindo-se que as relações entre os grupos sociais definem condições para o estabelecimento de relações entre saberes, os resultados do trabalho apontaram o imperativo de colaborarmos com a criação de uma nova economia de saberes mais justa e apropriada para as populações do campo.
