Resumo:   ABSTRACT. This study aims to analyze the relationship between cooperative education and rural extension in the management of agrarian cooperatives. Methodologically was used the questionnaire technique that was sent to agrarian cooperatives in the state of Minas Gerais. Among the results, it shows that the development of cooperative education and the work carried out by organizations, especially the Company of Technical Assistance and Rural Extension of the State of Minas Gerais (Emater-MG), have proven themselves as authentic consultative organizations. It concludes that rural extension provides the establishment of cooperative education activities with agrarian cooperatives organizations. In this sense, it can be said that cooperative education and rural extension are inseparable practices for the proper management of cooperatives.

En los resultados, se muestra que el desarrollo de esta modalidad de educación y el trabajo llevado a cabo por las organizaciones, especialmente la Empresa de Asistencia Técnica y Extensión Rural del Estado de Minas Gerais (Emater-MG), se ha manifestado como auténticas organizaciones de naturaleza consultiva. Con esta investigación se concluye que la extensión rural proporciona el establecimiento de actividades educativas junto a las organizaciones cooperativas agrarias. En este sentido, se puede decir que educación cooperativista y extensión rural son prácticas indisociables para una adecuada gestión de cooperativas.ABSTRACT. Na metodologia utilizou a técnica de questionário que foi enviado às cooperativas agrárias do estado de Minas Gerais. Entre os resultados, mostra que o desenvolvimento da educação cooperativista e o trabalho realizado pelas organizações, especialmente a Empresa de Assistência Técnica e Extensão Rural do Estado de Minas Gerais (Emater-MG), tem se demonstrado como autênticas organizações de natureza consultiva. Com esta investigação conclui que a extensão rural proporciona o estabelecimento de atividades de educação cooperativista junto as organizações cooperativas agrárias. Nesse sentido, pode-se dizer que a educação cooperativista e a extensão rural são práticas indissociáveis para uma adequada gestão de cooperativas.
