Resumo: | ABSTRACT: To contemplate the needs of peasant workers is one of the potentialities offered by the Alternation Pedagogy when it is assumed as a formative axis. With regard to EJA, these experiences are scarce. In this article, the objective was to discuss the Alternance Pedagogy as a contribution / strategy to the permanence of peasant students in the EJA in a town of Alto Paranaíba. The research was conducted through interviews with high school students, rural workers, matriculate in the EJA as well as school management. The interview with the school management showed that interest in Alternation Pedagogy aims at a flexibility of time for students, attending to other needs than studies. On the other hand, the analysis of the interviews with the working students shows that the alternation is seen as a formative potential contributing to the reduction of infrequence or school evasion in the most intense periods in its activities in the coffee harvest. In this sense, the Pedagogy of Alternation can contribute both in a more instrumental aspect and, from the emancipatory point of view, as a formative and reflective axis by providing a look at the demands in relation to time and space of these peasant students. |

El análisis de las entrevistas con los alumnos trabajadores, muestra, por otro lado, que la alternancia es vista como potencial formativo contribuyendo a la reducción de la infrecuencia o evasión escolar en los períodos más intensos en sus actividades en la cosecha del café. No que se refere à EJA, essas experiências são escassas. Neste artigo, objetivou-se discutir a Pedagogia da Alternância como contribuição/estratégia à permanência de estudantes camponeses na escola da EJA-Ensino Médio em um município do Alto Paranaíba. A pesquisa foi realizada por meio de entrevistas com alunos do Ensino Médio, trabalhadores do campo, matriculados na EJA de uma Escola Estadual bem como com a gestão escolar. A entrevista com a direção escolar demonstrou que o interesse na Pedagogia da Alternância visa uma flexibilidade de tempo para os alunos, atendendo a outras necessidades que não a dos estudos. A análise das entrevistas com os alunos trabalhadores, nos mostra, por outro lado, que a alternância é vista como potencial formativo contribuindo para a redução da infrequência ou evasão escolar nos períodos mais intensos em suas atividades na safra do café. Nesse sentido, a Pedagogia da Alternância pode contribuir tanto sob um aspecto mais instrumental quanto, do ponto de vista emancipatório, como eixo formativo e reflexivo ao propiciar um olhar para as demandas em relação a tempo e espaço desses estudantes camponeses.
