Resumo: | The objective was to understand the perception of workers who work in Psychosocial Care Centers about the repercussions of COVID-19 on their work. Also, the experiences of pleasure and suffering experienced in the pandemic, the mediating strategies used and the repercussions on their mental health were also described. A qualitative, transversal and exploratory research was carried out with four professionals working in mental health: two nurses, a nursing technician and a physical educator. As a result, there was a significant impact on work by COVID-19, causing changes in professional practices, work overload and increased risks to the physical and mental health of professionals. The experiences of pleasure refer to the technical development of the group and those of suffering are exposing the professional and support services’s gap for those assisted, and high turnover of workers. Mediation strategies were defensive (medicine support, alternative therapies, physical activities, family and social support) and confrontational (professional improvement and collective spaces for technical qualification). Among the impacts on workers' mental health, the development of psychic symptoms stands out, especially due to suffering to social expectation and social distancing. Thus, the pandemic brought harm to the health of these professionals. Spaces for collective listening, qualification of professionals and greater appreciation of workers can minimize these risks. |

The Repercussions of COVID-19 on Work in Mental Health and Worker HealthAS REPERCUSSÕES DA COVID-19 NO TRABALHO EM SAÚDE MENTAL E NA SAÚDE DO TRABALHADORSaúde do Trabalhador; Saúde Mental; Pandemia; Centros de Atenção Psicossociais.Occupational Health; Mental health; Pandemic; Psychosocial Care Centers. The objective was to understand the perception of workers who work in Psychosocial Care Centers about the repercussions of COVID-19 on their work. Universidade Federal do Tocantins - UFT2022-12-22info:eu-repo/semantics/articleinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersionapplication/pdfhttps://sistemas.uft.edu.br/periodicos/index.php/encena/article/view/1406310.20873/2526-1487e022024Trabalho (En)Cena; Vol. 7 (2022): Revista Trabalho (En)Cena; e022024Trabalho (En)Cena; Vol. 7 (2022): Revista Trabalho (En)Cena; e022024Trabalho (En)Cena; Vol. 7 (2022): Revista Trabalho (En)Cena; e022024Trabalho (En)Cena; v. 7 (2022): Revista Trabalho (En)Cena; e0220242526-148710.20873/2526-1487e022000reponame:Trabalho (En)Cenainstname:Universidade Federal do Tocantins (UFT)instacron:UFTporhttps://sistemas.uft.edu.br/periodicos/index.php/encena/article/view/14063/20744Copyright (c) 2022 Aline Pereira Soares, Vanessa Ruffatto Gregoviski, Júlia Pereira Soares, Janine Kieling Monteirohttp://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc/4.0info:eu-repo/semantics/openAccessPereira Soares, AlineRuffatto Gregoviski, VanessaPereira Soares, JúliaKieling Monteiro, Janine2022-12-22T23:54:04Zoai:ojs.revista.uft.edu.br:article/14063Revistahttps://sistemas.uft.edu.br/periodicos/index.php/encena/oai2526-14872526-1487opendoar:2022-12-22T23:54:04Trabalho (En)Cena - Universidade Federal do Tocantins (UFT)false |
