CINEMA AND FOLKCOMMUNICATIONS: an analysis based on the movie "Coco"

Resumo: | The present article reflects from the perspective of the folkcomunicación around the appropriation of the Mexican popular culture on the part of the cinematographic industry of Hollywood through the awarded film Cóco. From a qualitative characterization and an analysis based on the theory folkcomunicación is proposed as a hypothesis that the film appropriates a cultural heritage present in Mexico as it is the Day of the Dead. However, the festivity associated with the deceased forms part of a cultural base that is present throughout Latin America and in different cultures of the world in the face of the transverse expression of death. |

A partir de una caracterización cualitativa y un análisis basado en la teoría folkcomunicación se propone como hipótesis que la película se apropia de un patrimonio cultural presente en México como es el Día de Muertos. Sin embargo, la festividad asociada a los difuntos forma parte de una base cultural que está presente a lo largo de América Latina y en distintas culturas del mundo ante la expresión transversal de la muerte.O presente artigo reflete desde a perspectiva da folkcomunicación em torno da apropriação da cultura popular mexicana por parte da indústria cinematográfica de Hollywood por meio do filme premiado Cóco. A partir de uma caracterização qualitativa e uma análise baseada na teoria folkcomunicacional é proposto como uma hipótese de que o filme se apropria de uma herança cultural presente no México como é o Dia dos Mortos.
