On Journalism and Oral History: a field with nnore convergences than dissonances

This article reflects on the slmllarlties between journalism and oral history, focusing on three axes. The first is the mapping of a brief hlstorical comparatlve on both methods, in which it is clear the importance of radio interviews for the development of oral history. The second deals with the notion of truth that permeates both fields, emphasizlng that the In-depth forms of journalism - the case of literary journalism - and oral history have a comprehensive view of reality, because they understand that the respondents, being based on their memories, are on a subjective sphere. Finally, the thlrd axls is dedicated to the questlon of authorshlp, which dlffers in the two approaches. Above all, it is suggested here that these are complementary practices whose combined use exceeds gaps in each one of the methods.
